Hi all! New to this and hoping to get some feedback..I'm 18 and I love drawing... These sketches are done with colourpencils, wich I almost always use.. Hoping to do some work with Wacomtablet soon, never done that before so I´m really excited to learn some new stuff!

Best you stop painting with a mouse, because when you have a tablet you will see how different it is
Your stuff looks pretty good, how long are you painting? Looks really like you love your stuff. I love the skull-face very much and it's cool to see somebody drawing with colored pencils.
Keep that stuff up!

Yeah she likes HIM! I like HIM, too! Good updates!
For a Wacom you should try to get the money for a Intuos 3 or 4. They are by far the best ones you can buy under Cintiq's and other Tablet PC's. Intuos 4 are the newest ones, but the Intuos 3 is also pretty good and professional. I have a Wacom Bamboo Fun M (A5 Wide) and it's okay. It does what it should do and works pretty decent. But there's a step between Bamboo and Intuos, if I had enough money there would have never be the question to go for a bamboo or Intuos, I would buy a Intuos directly.

Ok, saw some clips on Intuos and it looked great! I wonder how much it will cost me haha...thanks for the tip!

callenge to you
do you like challenges?
September 19th, 2010 #22
in my opinion, try not to use the burn/dodge tools in photoshop. actually pick your colours-- it gives you more control over what you're doing. either way, you probably shouldn't go digital just yet. fill up a sketchbook with the things that you see around you to get practice, and not just finished things either. simple gesture drawings and the like will help you far more than a million bajillion finished drawings.
as far as commentary on the actual work, some of your drawings are super cute, but some of your figures are really, really inconsistent. taking to gesture drawing and life drawing will help that significantly.
good luck. :]
