    DA's Influence Map meme

(In reality it's Matthew Laskowski's Influence Map meme)

This has been spreading around for a while, and it's great. Members here should definitely join in.

Personally I'm stumped with it, but on the other end it's awesome seeing what the people I watch list down onto it. I immediately try to pick out and research the artists listed.

    Here's the original page.

You know, putting this together made me realize that it's been quite a while since I looked at the work of any of the artists I admire. I should start keeping track of them again. The ones that are still alive, anyway.

Heh, I've been tempted to do that thing for a while now, but I'm supposed to be working and that looks like SERIOUS procrastination...

Plus I think I'd need to add a lot more squares.

Maybe I'll do it once stuff gets more under control, though.

@Senira: KAAAAY! *spazz* Sorry, I love Kay Nielsen... I even went through an imitation Kay Nielsen phase once.

I love that meme. I was fun to fill in, and it's great to see what others list as their influences and try to find it in their styles... Here's mine:

forgot to include van gogh, and by successful people I meant good-hearted ones, and especially those who've found success in something they wanted to do

    This was fun xD

I feel like a total scrub looking at this because I know I have a long way to go before I can blend my own work in here, but its definitley inspiring me to work right now so I'm gonna keep a hold of it

Its actually making me really giddy seeing so much awesome in one place

WOW, Tehmeh, if you got that from me in the Cheer me up thread, then I'm your single greatest influence! My next recommendation is to move to Slovakia where you will indeed find these girls, and more like them.

EDIT: although, looking closer at the mugs, they may be from Munich? Either way, I'd still say move here.

+1 for the topleft two. The furry in the flower resembles the work of James Jean.

The girl with the frog is by Sam Weber, the warrior is by Massive Black Shanghai's own Zhang Lu, and the flower girl is by James Jean.

I got it from googling 'oktoberfest girls', that is not to say you are the single greatest influence in everyone's lives TASmith
