Well it's time to dive in head first! I'll start off with something old then something new. I'm open to all critiques and constructive criticism; after all I'm here to learn and develop my artistic abilities!
This first piece is of Samson taking down the temple! It's a mix of traditional and digital work. Enjoy
Ok, so here's some new work! Let me know what I need to work on to improve.
ok, here's one more! I sure hope somebody talks to me soon, it's gettin' lonely!
some quick color applied to spidey!
I'm liking the angles on the Samson one, and the Spidey looks cool too. Do you do a lot of figure drawing? If not, you should try it out and show us your work afterwards. They'll help a lot with your poses.
Also, you should consider finding a muscular friend to pose for your drawings if your idea is really complicated like the Samson one.
Keep it up!
Perspective and anatomy are two different and very difficult areas to master. You've tied them together in a way that completes the composition but these works could use a bit more thorough study of both ideas.
Thanks to the both of you for the advice and critiques! I'll try to post some new stuff soon, and I look forward to hearing what you have to say.
here's some new stuff. I was working on getting away from the pencil lines in this one and giving it more of a painted feel. So far I think it's turning out good.
Ok, so I havn't posted in awhile. I've got a 7 month old boy who's been keeping me awfully busy, but I love him to death!! This piece isn't so new but I wanted to get something on here! So here it is...
Just to let you know I'm not a total slouch, here's some stuff outta the ol' sketchbook! A lot of pen work with a little pencil and a dash of color! Enjoy.
Ooops, sorry about the size of these, I thought I had those trimmed down.
OK people, here's some new stuff! I havn't posted in awhile; the family has been keeping me real busy. It's hard to keep up with a 10 mo. old boy, he wants to get into everything!
Some random work
Ok, here's a character I've worked on for a while now. I'll start off with some olde work then show you some current stuff. Hopefully you'll be able to see some improvement.
Ok, so here are some DVD covers I've done for a local videographer who shoot/edits dance recitals. These are all mostly done in Illustrator, thus the nice smooth linework, something I don't normally achieve. Well, hope you enjoy!
A couple of quick portraits in pencil
ok this is a piece i did for an online book (kindle). I'm trying to test the size for web publishing. So, sorry in advance if it's huge!
uh, yeah that's not gonna work
ok, one more try. I don't know squat about sizing images for the web!!
Hey much better. Huzzah!
Ok peeps, check out a new portrait!
