    sleeping kitten

This is a drawing I did in PS CS3 with a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet, from a reference photo I took of my cat. I'm not sure whether I should called it finished or not yet. I'm happy with how his face looks, but I'm unsure about whether the fur on the rest of his body looks believable. Critiques especially on that would be appreciated! Thanks!

You know, in my opinion it's artistically believable. By that I mean, if you are looking for absolute realism, it's not but it's believable and light is as well.

From the thumbnail of the thread, I thought it was a photo. Sweet.

I didn't think it was possible to be called an artist when you have nothing to say. It's like being a writer who publishes individual words as books and expects to be praised for it.

I would finesse the lines of the pot and lighten the black of it a bit soe it feels more round from the outside.

Thanks DAMJAN, Black Spot, and TASmith for your comments! I appreciate your opinions. I wasn't going for photo realism, but I'm happy you thought it looked like photo from the thumbnail. I agree that the bottom of the pot is lacking, so I'll try fixing it.

It looks good, I like the texture on the fur, but the overall color of the cat is very orange The head area appears to be desaturated enough, but the body looks kinda flat due to overall orangeness. Can you post reference or is this from life?

Does look very good I agree the body looks abit flat, maybe just touch up the shadows a bit more on it's bum and a few highlights here and there so it looks more 3d?
