    Mitch Miller - Concept art

Hey everyone, I originally had a thread in sketchbooks, but I wanted to move my work to the entertainment design and concept art category. I will be posting my latest work. Any critiques or suggestions are welcome, please let me know what you guys think of my work! Thanks.

Mitch Miller - Entertainment Design and Concept Art

This first batch of work is what I made as my entry for the 2010 evolve CG Hunter Challenge. Starts with my initial ideas, then the final concept and model sheet along with my hunter's environment.

These next two pieces are environment concepts for a short animated film my brother was working on.

This next piece was intended to be another concept for my friend's book, but it turned into an independent piece of my own.

These last two are both from another friend's story that he has been writing called Prophecy. Any critiques or input for any of these new pieces is welcomed, I'd love to hear what all of you think about my concepts!

Your figure painting is lovely, with a good eye for colour, anatomy and design. My only quibble is the stiff poses. Otherwise I feel the environments are lacking - attempt to blend your figures more successfully with the backgrounds and rely less on effect brushes for things like the grass, as it rarely produces a quality finish. Also I found the creature in one painting to be rather oddly shaped and rendered, but this may not reflect your other creature art.

I love these outfits and concepts! The only thing I noticed is the that in the last image with the girl, her left thigh looks too thin in comparison to her calf. Other than that, awesome work!

Very nice work and designs! Iterations are a weak point of mine, I especially like King Azuru, nice natural looking pose

Really nice character work. Nice poses and costume designs. I think you should go a little easy on using pure black on your darks, and more reflective light would help a lot. Keep it up!
