I eat pencils - Om Nom Nom Nom

    Hi everyone,

It's time to get some sketching done. I've been a longtime lurker and now I want to get to a higher level. I used to draw really cartoony but now I want to get to a more realistic style.

I hope you'll give me lots of comments and advice. I will try my best to sketch as much as possible.

    Cheers!

    All right,

First batch of sketches, mostly without reference because I do these at work. I really need to get started doing some whole bodies and poses. More of that later.

Some sketches I did at work today.

Tonight I'm going out and planning to take my sketchbook with me. I hope it'll turn out okay.

Brötje - I am a fan of people who can merge the cartoony and the more realistic styles and you are doing a fine job of that.

I'd recommend doing some figure work and some gesture drawing if you wanna work on realistic stuff. It's what I'm trying to go for myself. Trying to shake off all my cartoony habits lol. Either way good stuff so far

Hi Brötje. I like your pencil technique, cross hatching etc. Also very nice heads with personalty. Do a lot of different studies and post your results here. See you around!

Sonia Leticia: Thank you! Cartoon stuff is nice to do because it's fast but you can never help to wonder what you really can achieve.

Myllys: Thanks for the great compliments! I'll do my best to update regularly.

    Cheers!

You seem to have a goos understanding of e shape of the head and a lot of the emotion is carried through, some really cool characters up there. It would be nice to see some pictures of the whole of the body to give a better idea of how your doing, let's see how your night time drawing goes.

Ps. I take my sketchbook to work with me everyday now, I think I do more work in ere than I do at home lol.
Spongeali's sketchbook, please have a look and leave some feedback.

Spongeali: Thank you. I've always taken my sketchbook everywhere ( even family dinners ) and I've gotten in some trouble because I did. But it's the most fun you'll ever have...and it's cheaper than a Playstation.

Didn't get to do much today. It's really busy at work. Managed to sneak in some hands in between. These are from reference pictures.

    Cheers!
