Rogier that sounds like a great idea - I never though of doing that I'll definitely do that.

Just some sketches and an environment WIP.. any c&c would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the comment! You've gotten tons better since your first post. The Xatu may give me nightmares. I think you should make up more figures from imagination and use references to make sure they're correct. Keep up the hard work!

The anatomy value studies are looking good, Keep doing them it will help you build the values on your imaginary characters, think about where the light is coming from, which element reflects light...
Nice enviros otherwise ,however they sometimes get flat but i don't know how to deal with that myself yet.
Keep on drawing you're on the good way ( at least that's what i think) and if you can, make real life drawings, it helps a lot.

    wombat - thanks !
    roger - thank youu!

means a lot to me that people are actually seeing improvement.. just this morning I was saying to myself I feel like I'm running in place.. maybe I'm actually getting a lil better ?

This is beginning of a portrait study from a pic.. trying to get a hold of some better lighting skills and just overall painting..

OH .. and I bought my first car the other day !! I'm planning on going outside and painting it when I have time/it's actually not raining for once. :3
I'm very psyched, but also very broke now XP

Bring more colour into the skin to bring it to life. Greens, yellows etc. Fling the paint pot at it.

I didn't think it was possible to be called an artist when you have nothing to say. It's like being a writer who publishes individual words as books and expects to be praised for it.

You've got some work to do with angling your drawings accurately, but I absolutely love it anyway--especially the sureness in your lines. Keep up the good work!

    Sketchbook --I'd love some feedback!

I really dig your pencil and ink work, and some of the studies and the landscapes. I think the digital painting department is your weakest point, though I commend you for trying to keep an anime-like style and going for a blendy-style, it's really nice and really stands out from the usual boring stuff (cough*Genzoman*cough)

    Keep it up

Thanks everyone for the crits comments and advice, seriously appreciated!

Here are some sketches in my sketchbook that were inspired from playing many hours of dynasty warriors 7 with my bf. That game is so much fun x.x All are just random characters from imagination.

and a WIP of a ps painting of a mermaid fish lady who is staring up at a fish hook, which is not painted in yet..

No studies on photoshop today, <fail> but I did do a couple face sketches - will post them up whenever i get to scanning them.. tonight is just some doodley crap. One of which I was giving an effort at first, but for some reason I just lost , I'm not sure, hope? drive? confidence? to finish it.. and another random anime-esque chick with a cliche revealing tight spacey outfit that I just spat out in a few minutes for boobie drawing sake.

On latest update (the still life) it looks like you tried to go in and render (like the highlights on the side of squares) before getting the form correct. Maybe try setting up perspective and shapes accurately first, that way you save time later
Definitely looking forward to seeing more genie girl!
