Great job capturing the feel of the Terrans. With the oversized armor, the Terran marines have a little bit of a Warhammer feel, but the StarCraft universe is more optimistic than Warhammer, and a little more space opera-ish if that makes sense. The Warhammer universe is darker. Subtle distinctions, but things that you can see in the art... The color, the light, etc...

Hmm.. Is it just me or is there absolutely no way that guy could possible fit in that marine suit?? Especially considering the width of distance between each leg. Looks like he would be torn to pieces when it moved lol. It makes sense visually if you watch the little marine cinematic for starcraft 2 where they are actually putting the armor on, but then after its actually on its so hard to imagine his anatomy inside of it.

    Good work btw.

I just wanted to stop back in here and give you a congrats because I just saw your image on the little community feed thing inside the game. It has a bit about fanart and it features your image, and links to it. So thats something like a million people seeing it probly, and then some fraction of that checking out the fanart webpage. Nice work!

Wgrace, I've wondered the same thing. If you have a large enough mech/exoskeleton, then the operator can simply fit inside the chest. If it's small enough, he can wear it like a suit. This seems to be somewhere in between. The anime series Detonator Orgun got around that problem by assuming that the aliens wearing the suits actually had thin spindly bodies that had atrophied because they spent all their time in these suits. In StarCraft, of course, what we just have are human beings with slightly exaggerated proportions, and the opening cinematic even has the Tychus character donning one of these suits. I guess you just have to use your imagination and not think too much about how that armor actually fits.

Wgrace: absolute agreement, I think ChaoticKnight, you took it a bit too far (if thats reallly possible) This may just be a matter of taste, but your Raynor would have to be a cyborg to have a head that tiny in a suit of armor like that. Its a beautiful piece nonetheless, kinda reminds me of Phrolians. With his color pallette and atmosphere. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_rUosuk--A9...inal_small.jpg
