Joxer | Learning to draw | sketchbook

Ok, so i am a programmer. I am currently learning to draw because i need to make art for my game. Um.. so here it goes..

I am using natural way to draw, and drawing on the right side of the brain both recommended by a lot of people.

contour, figures, references i saw on the internet, and other stuff.

Ok, so suggestions on how to get better would help greatly. Because most of my stuff does not look like what i was trying for.

all the contours have tomato's in them.
Figure drawings were 10's seconds like the book said.
monster was found on the internet, changed it a little bit.
Oh, and my only drawing tool i have is the mechanical pencil | orange | .07mm.

So somebody told me to draw my hand more. Also in the book it said to draw gestures for 60 seconds. Hand with pen is contour, hand with phone is like a half contour because i looked at the page a lot. I tried not to. comment

    Day 4:
Decided to stop doing gestures, because i suck at them. After i learn how to draw anatomy i will go back to them. Got a new drawing set, Prismacolor graphite drawing set, and a inking set | Copic multiliners. Saw a massive improvement from using my mechanical pencil. :|

    Pictures:
    1 Drawn hand, inked.
1 Drawn thumbs up, 2b pencil & 6B woodless afterwards to bring out the lines.
Inked the monster, and then colored it. Looks better than it did, when i drew it a couple of days ago.
1 contour drawing of fruit, and vegetables.

I think i am improving a lot from what i could do the other day.
