    Talking Community Attitudes

You know, I've noticed recently just how much everyone here influences everyone else. And it's all very positive.

    I love it.

It's sad how some sites have a negative atmosphere. Youtube for example. The community attitude there is very immature. And contagious. I've seen some of my favorite people online interact on Youtube and they seem to get pulled into all of the trolling, bashing, and hate that the site emits. Reading the comments there has kept me from commenting myself. My brother wouldn't post any of his videos until after they made disabling comments an option. And yes, I know that there are some mature, intelligent, people that post there, but in general the site has a bad feel.

It seems that most sites that allow commenting of any sort develop a unique attitude. On this site everyone is working towards a goal and there is comradeship. You see other people working hard and that makes you want to work hard too. You see other people getting better and you want to get better too. You see other people helping out and you want to help out as well.

Online communities have a snowball effect that can be good or bad.

I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed this? (I know I'm probably stating the obvious here.)

I just figured I should post something. Since nobody else was. And having the thread die is really sort of contradictory to its nature, yes?

Falyne, figure what Two Listen said without its natural tone of sarcasm, and you'll get a boggie bonus! On a severely more related note, indeed, this is a helpful and caring community. Don't get tricked by the whole niceness of the comments you see, though. You see, in a place such as this, where so many angry, sinful and humble artists exist in bundle abundance, there's got to be a wrong nasty side of the stick to it.

Hint: Sarcasm. Loads of it. Irony, every now and then. And stuff.

Every post I read in the lounge seems to have a healthy tone of sarcasm!...or maybe it's me!?

Let's focus a little bit more on the "healthy" part of that statement rather than the "sarcasm" part.

"There was a crime here tonight."

    "Yes sir?"

"Yes, the moment... it has been murdered. We figure it's an inside job."

0o That's what I get for posting when I'm half asleep.
I went to my threads, saw this...and do not remember writing it at all. lol

And about the replies, yeah. I see the cynical side of this place quite a bit actually.

I think it all boils down to a community's common enemy. Stay out of their hate group, and you can easily make friends.

    Conceptart.org hates:
Crappy artists who think they are the sh*t and refuse to take criticism while loading the threads with bad, stolen and/or copied art.

    Youtube.com hates:
    everyone
