Military Unit: The Hacker


It’s the year 2090, a few years after World War III... Officially, the war is over; but in the borderlands of the three remaining superpowers there is still conflict. War has changed however, as electro-magnetic fields have blocked out all wireless communication on the planet. This caused a new Spec Ops unit to arise; the Hacker. Not only does he have to infiltrate military bases in order to hack into the mainframe and mechanical units, he also has to be able to defend himself when discovered!

Design the military unit: The Hacker!

- Setting is futuristic, though no wireless devices!
- Hacker can ofcourse be male or female
- The Hacker is a solitary unit, so he has to be able to defend himself
- Basically the Hacker is intelligent and stealthy, but also has a tough side.

so here is my idea for now...
i was thinking something between Borderlands and Mad Max. after the WW3
he will be dropping from a ventilation that will give the stealth element. and will have a light armor and few gadgets-tools.

hope you like my idea so far and any suggestions are more than welcome.

I've always had a problem creating interesting shape relationships when it comes to character design, so I tried to do a nice mix here. My vision of the hacker is someone who's built more for stealth than for combat, and who relies on acrobatics and speed to escape rather than brute force.

Well, it's 2090 (so not 4360 ) and it's supposed to be on planet earth. As long as you keep that in mind, the rest is up to you .

So I'm going with a ‘in the not so distant future’ look, in the lines of the last terminator flick. I’m thinking he has equipment to break into main frame buildings where he jacks himself in 'ghost in the shell' style. So he has bolt cutters, tools, guns, hard drives etc. And is checking his map on his hologram screen that projects out in front of his face…. So all the snipers know where to aim.

I'm working on a post apocalyptic game now so i really don't want
to go that way . my main idea now is for them not to use weapons
nope no weapons just hacking tools cos these guys are bred for this shit they are genetically modified pawns that know only one thing get in take the info
and get the fuck out. but yes that not fun so. they have telekinesis adrenalin
bursts . they can even die ( shut down body functions for a period of time)
so this is my first crack at the Hackers XD

i think ill make an illustration with this guy but ist just this for now

I was thinking, most hackers are chinese, and theyre probably kids anyway. So Im running with that. Heres a couple ideas that I thought would work.

Than I thought, maybe keep the child soldier, but give it a "Im American" style, but remaining obviously asian. Stick a ton of USB keys on that thing.

Very nice concept, something for me to sink my teeth into. The brain's already hard at work: I'm feeling some kind of cross between Sam Fisher and the scout from Team Fortress 2. Looking forward to seeing what comes out of this.
