first time CHOW yeah =)
how about some good old-fashioned pencils?
Another take on the subject. Had an idea about a bit more of an iconic and illustrative/graphic piece and composition. Don't know which I'll finish, maybe even both.
Thanks a lot Nonobot!!
In yours, what if you took out the figures in the bg and showing their presence only with the red dots you have there?
Yet another update....
I think this will be my final WIP before final version. I can work this only tomorrow and then I'll be gone for a week. So I can't vote on but early congrats to whoever wins!!
---I have two questions as this is my first chow I'm gonna finish (and second one overall..) and don't really know what happens after this... Is this where I'm at acceptable quality for the "final burning"-thread? There reads I have to submit full sized picture in finals. Does this mean the huge file with 300 dpi and stuff? Or does it mean just these sizes we're all submitting here? I'd appreciate answers!
I looked it in greyscale and aren't really happy for the lack of light light tones.. Need to thinks that still.
And some fun facts: He's listening Bach on his mp3(x) (blue screen) and has a little pikatchu toy hanging from his tight armor.
And a stupid idea I had...
Kamikazuh: Looks cool! Concerning your resolution issue: The size of your image there is already fine for the final. If you look at other final posts, you can see what size images people submit. I like that he has a little pikatchu and digs old German music, but don't over-do it. Nobody can read his screen and the toy is too small to notice. Don't be afraid to make the toy four times as big and spend your time putting detail where it matters.
- His hands and wrist areas could use some attention and maybe his gas mask cylinder.
But I bet you were going to get to that anyway. Good piece!

started to slap some colour on my guy.
Hes the strong silent type.
He has a tentacle that is help in his suit that allows him to merge with most types of electronics. when he uses it the red sections glow faintly.
Some great entries in here.
Thanks for the crit good points.
Great. I like the idea with the door but it takes some attention from the figure. Can't you just have the left side of the door in the first picture, or have the door around his break in.
Very nice. Perhaps you could make him darker than the background. I think that would bring forward the strong silhouette.
Interesting take. Looking forward to see more.
Good start. old-fashioned pencils definitely has its potency.
I like it. The holographic screen is a good focal point. Looking forward to see you render it out. Perhaps you can have something cool turning up there.
Nice take on the subject. Perhaps you can add some harder shadows on some spots for example under the left arm.
Good Perhaps have some colour reflections from the environment. I would put the briefcase shadow in the lowest quarter of his knee-pad.
Nice perhaps have some highlights in his upper body.
Looking good. Nice perspective. Like to see it in colours.
Nice Perhaps turn the head a bit especial related to the backpack.
Nice I would have the light on his backside in another colour.
Turning out great. You nailing a military hacker
Good perhaps add a little more hacker approach
I love it. strong character.
Good start don't forget the hacker stuff.
Nice Perhaps add a computer beside the guy on the floor and some connections to her device.
I like the character. Looks pretty finished in design except from the feet.
Nice perhaps his left lower arm looks a bit long.
Cool Looks like his prepared for most situations.
Sorry for not criting all.
Update. The little Robot carries massive amounts of wires, for shortcutting stuff or doing some magic IT multi PC hookup. Old-school!

Thanks for the crit JanJager. I put some more detail into her shoes, but the shape of her foot is simple on purpose; I've been drawing a lot of inspiration from Stephen Silver in the past few months, and I've gotten into the habit of exaggerating the legs/paring down the feet.
feet looking good. Googeld Stephen Silver very nice.
another wip, dropped in some colours
Aeronik - your a stud! he has so much character!! Would love to see you finish.
Dragon 4 lunch - man thats looking great!!! The little spy droid is a great touch.
Prob wont get to finish but wanted to get some crits and get the practice in.
RichLyons: Looks great, really digging the details on him.
dragon4lunch:When I look at this all I can think about is darth vader.
Kamikazuh: Wow, just wow. Lovin this.
InFlame: Like this pose better, the arm anatomy seems a little off to me. Maybe its the bicep? Keep at 'er.
JanJager - Sorry not sure what you mean about turning the head, I'm a little slow this morning. hehe
