well, you shouldn't re-use old pictures/concepts. also, don't forget that this one has the "military" theme to it.

This is what i got so far.. What do you guys think?

@JanJager: Cool stuff, reminds me abit of The Book of Eli movie. That desert style.. looking good. Her face does look alittle young though, abit like a baby. Think its cause of the forehead, maybe bring her hairline abit down.

@RichLyons: Nice lines, you got alot of detail down. You got that dude loaded up. Its really cool, tough to move though

@KamiKazuh. Sweet colors and details. I like the direction your going. Is that his stomach showing there in the middle?

Everyone's posting some great WIPs; I can't wait to see the final entries!

More progress on mine. I'm developing this character with animation in mind, since that's the sort of character design I want to do. I realize that all the junk she's got on would be way too detailed for animating, but I wanted to have some fun with this one.

I'm going to do a character turnaround/prop breakdown instead of a full illustration.

I don't see too many stylized entries in C.H.O.W; hopefully the finished turnaround will still qualify for the final thread.

Chris Proof - the only thing I can say right now by way of critique is that the right arm's shadow would put the arm a little farther forward. I love that shadow, but the arms seems farther back and closer to the body than the shadow seems to indicate. Aside from that, I hate your guts for making this beautiful thing. Seriously, very believable lighting, gear, textures, etc.thus far! Everything else is so near perfect that it's likely that's the only reason I noticed the arm. Fantastic job!

And here's el mio... sorry about the size... trying to work a little bigger right now

Did a lunch sketch even though I won't get the chance to finish - going interstate tomorrow. But the topic was hard te resist. Nice to get away from the beefy space marine military type. I'm going with the idea that by then the tech is all wired into the brain. The emp thing is cool too, no wireless, so this guy has to to carry about plenty of cable and directly tap into connunication lines.

Wasn't sure how to communicate an internal HUD though...

Update: a post work colour rough.

Obliviongrin: You're welcome haha. Nice angle on your piece, looking forward to some progress.

Kamikazuh: I really like the design but at the moment it's still a bit busy and hard to read.

i both agree and disagree with you. there is no apparent light source as of yet so the shadow of the arm could be justified probably by a light source further back and to the right but what wouldnt be justified then would be the computer/gudget-thingy/case's shadow curling around his leg that way. it def needs a bit working out the angle. the rest is fabulous i agree good job to the both of you btw. yours is looking prety good too.
