    Father Time (this weeks ChOW)

I've been fudging around with the concept for two days now until I created this sketch:

    Father Time (this weeks ChOW)

After some work and fixes I came up with the image I have now.

I want to show Father Time as a crazy grandfather type of person. He goes around telling people their time is up and the Grip Reaper will come and get their life. After the Grim does his job Father Time takes anything cools he sees with the death body and takes it with him.....or something like that.

The Grim is appearing from behind Father Time. They are both inside a clock tower. Or at least that's what I planning to paint. See it as a cover for a book/comic kind of illustration.

Any thoughts and critics are highly appreciated!!

hi! a few things i can point out:
    1) the arm has a weird break/bend in the middle. should be more straight.
    2) the thumb of the hand holding the staff should be behind the staff (unless of course you intentionally placed it infrom?)
    3) The mouth/nose area and the beard in that area could use some definition. for instance the nose is tiny and he almost has no beard on the upper lip
    4) the shade on a cap usually bends, see some reference (google "wearing cap", or something similar).

did a paintover to illustrate, hope it helps!:

Your Father Time doesn't really feel father timely enough to me. I'd suggest maybe finding some references of old geezers and incorporating things like big ears/noses, wrinkles, hunched back with head hanging low, eyeglasses hanging low on the nose, etc.
