Hi, what a nice sketchbook you got here. I like the lion, your lines look good as well. It's good to see that you are limiting yourself to cartoons. You'll definitely learn a lot from those anatomy studies. Keep posting your work!

My sketchbook Crits and advice highly encouraged!

Thanks for stopping by my Sb my man! Maybe Brambor mispoke or I misinterpreted her but in her 3rd sentence she stated that is good that you are limiting yourself to cartoons! Don't listen to her! Draw everything! EVERYTHING! Before you can derive and stylize the form you must first understand it through observation and study. Picasso was an excellent "realist" before he moved onto Cubisim. You will only be limiting yourself if you only focus on one style. That and it is never good to limit oneself. Sorry for the rant but that's how I feel. All this being said, I suggest that you keep studying and working on things like anatomy, figure ground relationships, composition etc. I have to stop myself form going off and jacking your thread here. If you want some tips, drop me a pm and I'll hook you up.

Nice Lines Fella, I like your clarity between light and dark, but consider the mid tone. I think the inkers call it feathering??? Anyhows, keep up the good work and keep posting..

hey man your drawings are looking good - strong start to a sketchbook.

Nothing really to crit except it would be nice to see more studies from life. Its hard to get them in sometimes becuase the often feel like you aren't learning as much, but then i don't need to tell you how important they are. Perhaps some rendering in pencil?

Anyway thanks for posting in my sketchbook, I appreciate you introducing me to a new style.

Keep up the hard work and glad to read you've been doing lots of studies

Hey, nice sketches, I like the sense of motion in some of them.

I've seen that some people already advised you on doing anatomy studies and I agree with them Books by Loomis and Bridgman are great source and you will for sure improve a lot if you learn some basics about human body and perspective

    Keep drawing!

Nice sketchbook! I'd say watch out for proportions, but this will come with practice. Just be concsious of it while you draw.
    Keep it up!

Thanks for dropping by my sketchbook. I see some nice improvement here! Your faces are so expressive. Proportions and anatomy are getting better, so those studies must be helping. Keep them up!

One thing I noticed in your latest post of studies that you might want to think about is line quality. Your lines seem harsh and are not continuous. The lines look like they are made up of small insensitive lines overlapping to finally get the form you want. It may help to try to use a single sensitive and continuous line for your figures. Feel how the line runs over the figure to create a sense of form.

I hope that helps, and that you understand what I'm trying to say. Keep up the good work!

    Here's my sketchbook!

    Hello amigos,

So, I've been practicing a lot these days and i was wondering why am i so Lazy?
Im tired of stay in the same level for years and realized how much i need to improve my own skills. I was giving so much effort to other things and maybe this time i could pick up the right direction.

Started in digitals, guess this is hard for me. But i will keep working hard

SketchiboThanks for the tips my man i will work hard on that.

Blizzard5291Thanks a lot, this continous flow is what i want to achieve.
