Very cool Scottieb! The colors are very good and the efects too, like the reactors of its feets.

    Fresh from the Mech-Wash?

One thing that looks odd is that the soldiers are all shooting at something, but the mech is just standing there showing off....
Also, what are the blobish things on the left?

All in all, this is sweet. The heat effect on the feet is definately cool. Awesome job.

Very cool, but I think the mech should be all scratched up and stuff cause he is the "LAST" Mech afterall.. his ass should be all F*cked up, but still fighting!

Maybe the last mech is so badass that scratches are a rarity.

    Great stuff, man.

Nice job. I like the way you've handled this. I'm not much into mechs, and have no sense of what's cool...
However, I would caution you against the dangers of what you're trying to do with the figure's right "forearm" (on the left side of the pic). It's aiming straight at the viewer, making a perfect circle, and completely hiding the sides of the cylinder that, with the circle, make up the forearm. Sure, it's "correct", but that doesn't stop it from looking flat. Unless you have a really good reason to handle it this way, I'd avoid it. If you turned that forearm slightly outward, so you could see the inner side of the cylinder a bit, not only would that provide the needed visual info, but I also think would dramatically increase the energy of the figure and hence the composition.

    My two cents.

CommandoSo : haha,It would look better like that-
    JaCkinbOx:Yeah thats right!
Chris Beatrice:Thanks for the indepth comment thats really good advice for the future!

I'm studying Industrial Design so my habbit is to 'design' the object with pencil, scan it in and colour it. The background and the title were afterthoughts... I feel this is wrong.. maybe do detailed stuff for 3d models seperate to the drama/atmosphere pic...

Scottieb - well done, but yellow is a funny color for a war machine, it's more suitable for a construction mech... I'd love to see it done in an urban camo style... - mh
