Hey! Sorry for not checking your sketchbook out for a couple of days, I usually check it whenever I use the forums. I can't wait to see where you'll be going with the symmetric piece, because digital painting(or painting in general) feels daunting when you mostly stick to pencil sketches. It's always nice to see stuff like your "random thing" to see just how much you can do with colours. It kinda reminds of some of those background images used in fx. Miyazaki films. :p

You're postin more! Love that looseness in your sketches, it makes everything seem that much more organic, but without getting to messy.

    Heyya,

I just have to say that when I just came in here, my jaw kind of dropped...
You have improved sooooo much since the last time I really took a look at your SB!
I posted here exactly one year ago and I did a paintover, your work is way better now!

I really need to do some practice like this, your photo studies are great, especially the back of that girl you spent so long on.
All I can really say is, keep up the awesome work!
I would like to see some more imagination stuff like what you are doing now!

You better believe that I'll be back! Thanks for stopping by my sketchbook so that I could see your stuff again!

Wow, this character is just great)) Will you add color to it?
I also like those photoshop recursions, how did you make them?

I like the lose line, but I really question the silhouette, I am sure
you just drew away, didn't you ?!

Anyway love your stuff, I like your magic forms, This will tell you more about it.

heya greyskill, thanks for the super nice feedback..
i remember the paintover, crazy to think it was a whole year ago. actually i should try redoing that comp now, see how i fare
thanks, its encouraging that people can see my improvement, i seem to have little spurts of breakthroughs during an individual painting where i jump forward.
i can really recommend doing longer studies.. so much of this is simply having more patience and concentration to look closer and make finer adjustments, be it to proportion, blend, value, anything..

and yeah, i am a bit sick of so many studies and also want to go back to doing some imagination work, but as it is right now time is short and i am working as much as i can to finish off these things i have going on, some little jobs, this warrior painting...

    thanks tho : )

in2eternity, heya nice to see you back here after a while,
i do plan on colouring the character, it'll be very good practice for me,
the photoshop recursion is a really simple technique but its super useful, here is a link to the tutorial:
    http://podcollective.com/fora/viewtopic.php?t=579
the podcollective fora is a relic garden of creativity and visionary vibes

    heya iven!
can you elaborate on what you mean with the silhouette? got any crit for me? i havnt had any crit in a while, i could do with some..
i actually am working a lot on the silhouette, being mindful of as much of the figure as i can at the moment. took a lot of posing.
i am a little unsure if she is leaning back a little too much, i want it to look like she is leaning back into the wind though, it'll be a stronger effect when i draw the bg, wind effects, etc.

video looks interesting, i am super interested in sacred+/geometry, will check it out! def want to learn to draw more of that and incorporate into art//awareness

worked a bit more, mostly on the her forearm and hand:

HEY buddy, the silhouette, key of communication. You are lucky
that I just happen to talk about it on my sketchbook. Page 8 last
post and page7 last post. How is this dude called the SKILLFUL HUNTSMAN
    he showed some good examples.

Hey, sorry for not checking out your sketchbook in a while, head has been all up in algorithms and file systems. It's great you've decided to go on with plant warrior concept, I hope to be able to convey the same kind of depth in greyscale one day. :p

If I could do pieces like the last one with the flower pot, my granny would be begging for drawings all day. She loves flowers, and always asks me to draw stuff like that. It's also some nice and vibrant colours.
