A self portrait that kicked my ass!!! For some reason I felt that it would be a good idea to rush through the beginning stages of a drawing and go straight to the rendering!!! I spent several hours slaving over this monstrosity hunched over in my hot ass bathroom only to crumple it up and throw it into the firery hell where it belongs!!!

I think you have a really strong foundation. I def know what it's like to be really careful with blocking everything in and still trying to fix the proportions and everything. That's normal so don't worry about it. How long have you been drawing?

Thanks, and I'm not quite sure lol. I knew that I wanted to become an artist when I was like 13 but I didn't start researching/studying till I got my computer, about 2 or 3 years ago.

    Oooh. That's looking nice.

Don't really know what to crit, I stopped by because I thought it was interesting stuff. Personally, I'd like to see some more imagination in your work, as stuff working from at least a familiar reference seems solid but I'd be curious to see some stuff outside of that boundary.

At the same time, though, you got yourself here, I'm sure you'll continue pushing forward best you can. Good luck.

I like how your sketches are going. And the later ones seem to be a lot more sure and accurate.

    Crackin' One Off

    Hello!

    pat@hpnc.com: Thanks

Two Listen: I agree! I feel that I should expand on my subject matter, I draw too many heads.

Some memory drawings as well as some drawings from photos and...

I'm starting an anatomy wall! I figure that filling an entire wall up with anatomical studies will help me memorize them. I'm also gunna start some master copies of drawings and maybe some paintings!!! So Much to do, so little time!!!!!!!!!

    Imagination

I have a bunch of stuff to put on here.... Meh, I'll do it tomorrow or something. I'm tooooo tired at the moment. Here's a doodle I did somewhat recently.
It's a wierd snake thing catching roasted chickens that are randomly falling from the sky!!!

    Acrylic.
