Mincx- Thankya yeah i found out pretty poo at coming up with logical armour at the minute gotta stuudy!

AkerOner-Hey welcome to CA and thanks! I feel honoured to take your post virginity hehe

HackTardist- Cheers! i did use some of that weird disease as inspiration for my last uni thing (which is where the creepy thing is from) as well as tumours and all sorts of nasty stuff! Glad to see it shows hehe

Teapo-Thanks teapo just trying to keep up with you

Sorry if the images stretch everything on the page my internet is so dippy at the minute im not risking having to upload 21 pages more than once!

Todays Lifedrawing and tried to do some traditional stuff from my head, its all one character just armour ideas and variations, it would help me quite abit to hear your thoughts on them so far as they are all just thumbs and ideas for a final guy next week.

The character has to have some way of venting or spraying out icy air in order to freeze his surroundings hence all the holes and vents everywhere, he's also unable to survive in places that arent cold so theres gonna be plenty of gas masks and breathing apparatus around him.

Cheers for looking more characters by the end of the week!

That last character design is awesome, the body armour looks a lot better! Is there a reason why he has not much on his legs? I think you should try a variation of him with talons on his feet too, cause they'd be helpful when keeping grip/climbing in really cold places. maybe like this: http://www.talismancoins.com/catalog...eosaurus_1.jpg

Cause that'd make the legs look a little more alien too

teapo- Hey cheers teapo, unfortunately the characters concept isnt mine its from a story called "How Six Men Travelled Through The World" its pretty cool. Im sure theres Lifedrawing classes knocking around somewhere! just gotta look for the nuudes!

Mincx- Thankyou the reason why he hasnt got much on his legs is cos Im poop at them! but also theres gonna be a running character soon too and i dont want things to get all confusing with all these beefy legs.

A few more variations and ideas, the heads really slowed me down.. no idea why.

No studies for a while although i've got lots of books to read, Both of Gurney's books Vanderpoel and Rubins as well as a masters book so lots of inspiration from these things.

    Cheers for looking All!

And then they said: "pleease give us more anatomy"

Your imagination pieces are good, but somestimes really lacks of anatomy.
    Keep pushing anatomy.

    Hard but it pays off!

Sadako- Thanks still struggling with colour and will do hehe

Still on the uni project, next character ideas and variations, whenever i've been getting stuck anatomy wise ive been taking time out and studying them at the end of the day, seems to be a good way to gel these bloody interlocking muscles into my head.

Thoughts and crits are more than welcome!

hey fudge~ i see you're tackling the studies again keep at it with those and try not to get too caught up in all the detail of it. sometimes keeping it as simple with shapes and minimal lines can help a lot too. but i guess with what you're doing with the muscle studies doesn't hurt either

keep exercising the imagination! i see a lot of potential with the latest characters

    Alexson- Thanks man, il try!

Teapo- Yup back to the studies.. kinda, yeah im trying to switch between anatomy and figure, i mean right now im drawing spheres and cylinders for muscles but i have no idea how they join together or anything so thats when i get to the detailed stuff.

Loathsome- Thanks man yeah il keep at the anatomy atleast its interesting.. for now

I've been meaning to update all week, been getting side tracked. Uni work is still eating up a lot of my time, but went to lifedrawing and started new digi pieces etc. struggling with values and materials at the mo, so crits and feedback are much needed.

    Hey there Loaf.

I think you could really benefit by working a little bit more loosely. You seem like as a result of your yearning for progress that you tend to make things a bit too tight, or stiff feeling.

Do not be afraid of messes.

Think today was the longest i've spent drawing, feels good and didn't even get bored thats a good sign.

Started another 100 figures thing, 10 a day for a warm up, more thumbnails for a hunterish character and a few developed sketches for him too, also more on the orthographic.

You've done so much since I last raided your computer! 0: Where to start...

I love that second life drawing (him lying down) ITSSOGOOD. The lighting is really good and you got so much of the detail down.

And the orthographic is coming along good too, the muscle colouring looks so much better now

AND your character drawings are improving a lot. The last few guys are really good designs.

So yeah. I'm gonna stop sucking up to you now. MOAR.

    Keep it up man!
some of your figures seem a bit squashed, seems like it's partly the cropping and partly that some of them have short legs.

Just Call Me Bruce- Thanks for the crit bruce, yeah a common fault is me squishing my legs for some reason, but my scanner is also a piece of shit and never fits paper on right hehe.

    Productive day!

Eye studies, 40/100 figures and needed to do some gunzzzzz for the hunter guy so watched coro's tut and had FUN. Feels good man.

Woke up pretty late, forgot to upload what I did last night.

Had to go through every character sketch (all 30) and clean em up and scan em in last night, it was horrible took me 6 hours but managed to get some more on the muscly guy done.
