I really liked the girl walking down the street on the first page. Watch out for perspective on your hard surface objects, such as the race car. Actually daw out the perspective lines and erase em later, it helps a lot!

Looking good! Keep up the good work! And thanks for stopping by my sketchbook earlier.

you've been hard at work it seems. Keep at it! You studies are good, you also have a very imaginative style in your personal work. I look forward to seeing you continue to improve

ArghosRo thanks for stopping by my sb Good start here, I like your imaginative works. Keep pushing those, as well as your anatomy studies. I think more gesture drawings around 1-4 min a piece will help you grasp your proportions quicker. Try doing 10 a day for awhile and see what happens. It seems you enjoy character design so my only suggestion at this point is to focus more on the silhouette of the design. If you are seeing this character in a video game from far away you have to be able to tell right away what kind of character it is, how it moves, what its wearing, what weapon its carrying. Its all stuff I need to do more in my own work but I am thinking about it. Keep it up can't wait to see you progress.

hello mate, glad to see you keeping up .
Try to use the soft brush only in later stages.now try to learn to block in the basic tone range with hard brush (limit your tone range in order to not get confused).
    Keep up training !!!

Haven't posted in a while, wanted to have something to post, but alas, no new art for now, here is eyeless ghandi, flipped him and fixed the ears and shaped the head so it looks equal to the other half, used hard brushes for his body, but still a long way to go!!!

Ronpower: Thanks, perspective is something I always seem to forget, and I like that girl too, though the scene could be better!!

NickyBeats: Thanks, I'll definitely keep the anatomy coming!

    The Original [E]: Thank you!!

Ninjac: Thanks for your suggestions!! Ill definitely try those!!!!

    FAST ART: Thanks

KingKostas: Thanks, I'll try using the hard brushes for sure, thanks for your suggestions!!!

Hey Arghos, thanks fer stopping by! Some stuff to keep you busy:

Try ditching the airbrush (I know it's hard, I've been there lol). A hard-edged brush
on full opacity set to pen pressure will make a much more painterly feel. Then
just use the eyedropper in lighter areas to get lighter values. See how that goes.

And of course, FIGURE STUDIES!!!! Nothing wrong with looking at a model for the
sake of creating correct musculature/lighting/everything else. One last thing that
I've recently learned is the importance of is eliminating black outlines. That is the
last kick to bump your work over into realism. Hope this helps!

Nice figures and I like the underwater environment on the other page. I agree with Farquad, I was just going to say to ditch the airbrush for a hard-edged brush.

Shareef06: Thank you, I'm trying to work with my lines but its hard!!

Farquad: It is hard, but I'm going to follow yours and Kingkostas's advice on the hard brush, and you're also correct about the lines and anatomy studies, thanks for stopping by!!! BTW your art is so awesome its the little things that make your art great!

MyioDeSopsia: I also really like that one, since everything in a 3d space, I could put all the creatures relatively anywhere, also if you look way at the bottom there is a ufo and a drowned alien, all thats what's been bringing down the ships in the bermuda triangle!!!

Here is a sketch I want to to with a girl with a fan braided through her hair, looks kinda like Aries, my first post, but tried to do it like a fan, with the hair being a part of the fan. Half way through it, I didn't like her eyes, probably going to start over, will use a reference for her face.

hiya arghosro, thanks for stopping by SB! I like what's happening in your SB, definitely development in the right directions! I think in terms of crits, I'd focus on doing studies especially in terms of proportion or the scale of things in relation to one another (this is also something i struggle with greatly). really like the dedication, keep up the hard work dood! also think u should do some more car sketches, i really liked the car sketch on page 1!!

NickyBeats: Thanks alot, I like the underwater one as well. Also I will upload some studies soon... soon as I draw them!!!!

Snootchy: Thanks for coming and checking out my SB!! and thanks for the crits, I will definitely do some studies soon!!!!

and here is just something i was playing with today, following Farquad's, Kingkostas's and MyioDeSopsia's suggestions, I finally begin to learn how to paint, the right way, Thanks guys!!!!!! BTW i got inspired by watching some tutorials in the tutorial thread, can't remember the guys name, but it started out with just the shape and then started with details, simple, but not so simple once you try it, know the guy was a teacher, I'll look his name up tomorrow!

    His name is MagicMan!!!!!

Hey, some of your designs and drawings are looking great, i think you've got some good ideas but you MUST spend more time on them. I mean, post #83 and #86 have absolutly no form on them, they musn't have taken more than 10 minutes to do. On your next one take atleast 40-60 minutes and you'll be able to make something better. For example #82 looks really great, its starting to look 3D and jumps out of the page, #86 on the other hand is a few different flat shapes chucked together - which if this is a sihlouette thumbnail that would be fine, but you would generally be doing 10-20 + of those and developing them later on instead of using it as a finished idea.

Hope this helps, i don't want to sound mean but you gotta be strict to get better

Thank you Kingkostas, still in progress since I want to start it all over again. I'm still working on my values and life studies, well I don't know if you would call them life studies, since today all I did was pencil sketches of some photos i googled, didn't want to work to much on them, but still took me the awhile to draw, time sure flies. Ill upload them tomorrow... since my sister has my camera cable to plug into my laptop.
