The lower legs of the girl in post #34 look a little on the short side and her arm is in an awkward position, I like the strings of dots you have throughout the picture, very interesting.

Some nice studies on #41 especially the last one, only thing that really stands out to me about that one is that her torso seems a little long.

Keep up the studies, if you haven't already try to take a life-drawing class, they help a LOT.

Nice studies, you're on the right path! My favorite is the sketch of the girl holding the horse's head. That one has nicely loose lines but you often seem to do your contours with many short strokes instead of long sweeps. Doing quick gesture sketches without lifting the tip from paper would help improve the line economy. Seems like you have a bit of a habit of hiding the hands and feet. Try to break away from that and keep the hand studies coming.

GoldenSerpent: Yeah I really don't like the way her body is... I was going to have her hanging there chained up but it looks akward, thanks for those critics,
the last girl, I drew her from a magazine i had from digital photo pro, and it came out almost exact, and all I can say is that she is probably both very thin
    and tall!

Smuli:Yeah you are right about my lines, its hard to keep them straight or have them go where i want them, maybe its wacom bamboo, or most likely its that I need to practice. Thanks alot for the help!

Hi mate, those 'cut out' style pieces are very interesting in terms of style and ideas - those could become great pieces later down the line.

Good to see your doing some anatomy studies, the only thing that i'd say is to practice each thing individually for example: Draw lots of Gestures (the simple movment and proportion of the pose without the contours and detials) and then concentrate on studying each part of the body individually in detail like the head, torso, arms, legs, hands, feet etc and how they interact with eachother. Then once you are much more confident with each section put them all together, it sounds like a lot of work but you will quickly notice improvement if you do serious anatomy studies.

Then once you are confortable with anatomy - or during your studies for a quick break, draw from life ( drawing people around you or in a cafe or park, placing a few objects on the table to draw, draw the environment around you) so that you can become comfortable with the natural form, how things look in movement, how lighting works, different materials and much more.

All of these things should give you suitable knowledge of how to draw a good pose for your character designs, how to render them realisticly and should also increase your line quality . I'm still practicing alot of this myself too, so good luck!

Hey, thanks for stopping by my sketchbook. You've got a nice start going here, a good mix of characters/enviros. If i could crit anything, i'd just say to make sure and get used to drawing those hands/feet/faces. I noticed you skipped them in the last two figure sketches posted. They dont seem like much cause theyre so small, in comparison to the overall form, but i'm convinced that they count for quite a bit.

Anyway, thanks again for stoppin by my sketchbook, keep on truckin'!

ArtZealot: You're right about the hands and feet, I find them really hard to draw, and so I leave them out, but I will continue with anatomy studies. Thanks for stopping by!!
