SharkSparrows!! (update 7/12/10)
I didn't know whether to post these guys in the WIP section because they don't have backgrounds yet or to post them here because as far as the concept/character designs are concerned they are pretty much done.
These are all designs for my(and Motion Designer, Katie Wilson's) little studio, "Shark & Sparrow"(www.sharkandsparrow.com). Included are; The Sharksparrow (post dinner), The Sharksparrow Bomber, and the Card Sharksparrow. The last image is for a promotional poster titled, "Reaching for the Stars" which I'm still currently polishing the hand rendered text for, but as I've stated the main illustrative (non-text) is complete! haha
Anyway, thanks for lookin and I hope you view something you dig!

Weird part is I've actually seen one of those flying around by my apartment. Think a guy lost a arm to one of those just last week.
You do amazing work, I've just started using photoshop and can't seem to get that kind of texture into my art.

So here's a version of the post dinner Sharksparrow on his perch...I like the black background better, but I suppose this is a start....Also included here is an update on the Shark & Sparrow promotional poster, "Reaching for the Stars" with the WIP text treatment, thinking of making the text look as if they're built from crystals or cool glass like shapes...thanks for looking and as always an critique or feedback welcome!

LOL...well yea...the general idea here is to illustrate the attitude of reaching for your highest goal with ferocity and grabbing a hold of whatever you can get with a steadfast grip!
