    RichLyons - where`s yours man?
    Opinion accepted
I actually thought Rusty's (with the shoe on the head) was pretty good and delightfully nerdy And the theme indeed didn't have any limitations, but there's such thing as taking to much freedom and losing sight of what you're trying to communicate. There are images in the poll which didn't follow the brief at all except for the girl part.

These are the ones I personally like best:

Ostrander for elegant furrization and getting really creative while staying within the rules.
Garth Cochrane for spectacular turquoise/pink composition, sheer expression and lovely details.
Rusty, because you can't do it better than this.

And Braintree, because that Rosie is clearly the hottest.

    My ConceptArt sketchbook.

My sketch blog, where I post drawings and talk about them, sometimes interesting.

And on that subject, what happened to Sentinel as well?

Voted for 5. I wanted to do more but as the great Leonardo diCaprio says in ‘Titanic’... “Make it count”:

Pxel Slayer – Simple and tight composition.
Afekay – Love the details and retro feel.
Rusty – Great character. Fits the brief nicely!
Xitu – Fun and beautifully drawn. And not to dispute you, clearly the hottest...
Ostrander – For thinking outside the box.

Great ChoW. Thanks to Arthemis IX and Icemoon.

Missed the deadline but definately enjoyed the round.
I love Xitu's approach and overall scheme
Static pen line work is mwah superb. Liken it very much gave me ideas i'm hacking out right now.
Rusty: The only thing I love more than the shoe on her head is the expression on her face. That poor cat:0
Soup and Butter: I like her. She has this etheral floating quality to the pose that I wouldn't have thought of but is nice. I'm a fan of hoodies and i like the touch of the two rings.
Afekay: Black and white great when it's done right. I didn't know where you were going but I like the balance. the composition is great. i like the texture/ feel of the overall piece.
Parsakoira: Your Rosie is having so much fun. I'd like to see what you'd do if you had more time. I'll def be stopping by your thread.
Aly Fell: Dunno why you decided to turn her head but I can see the final result was worth it.
PxlSlayer: What can I say I'm loving the black and whites this week. Though your Rosie seems more like a Professional Scholar than a student.
Commander Obvious: Her hair is different Oh well she's cute who cares. She would be one to reckon with me thinks.

Well I didn't get done because I suck but anyway:

Garth Cochrane and Xitu were my favorites this time around, the character's personalities are pretty much instantly readable, but I guess the supporting characters kinda stole the show in both of pics.

Bag Push the orange a little bit more to make it pop! The blue\orange contrasting color scheme is a classic, but the composition is a little boring.

soupandbutter it's a shame you didn't get done in time, super relatable.

staticpen really reminds me of Soul Caliber 2 for some reason, not that it's necessarily a bad thing though.

Aly fell The character doesn't really come across at all, the book is the only thing that says necromancer Also the see through top is kinda corny.

Humboldt - A polite word... never begin a post with "...because I suck anyway" and then proceed to criticize. If you can't take yourself seriously how are others expected to do so when you offer your post mortem?

    This round I voted for:

Rusty: probably my favourite of the round, I love your final and also WIP designs. Great character!
No name brand: Very dark, I like it.
Aly Fell: Lovely piece! For some reason it made me think of the movie ‘The Craft’.
Veshkau: I like your presenation of the character with the front and back views. Great design also, I particularly like her outift with the shin-pads!
Parsakoira: Liked yours since I saw it in the WIP forum. Nice work!

I didn’t want to over-do it on the voting, but other entries I particularly liked:

Xitu: A warm, humorous take on the topic. Really cool illustration
Ostrander: Unique and funny character! Made me laugh and I love the zombie mouse.
Garth Cochrane: Great line work and I love the ghost characters.
    BlankslateJoe: Dark with great atmosphere.
Johan Lindroos: Great characters and emotions. I liked the description to go with your piece too.
Arthur ‘Two Sheds’: I know you didn’t finish, but your concept was awesome!

I voted for Rusty and Bag. Most of the others look like they study fashion blogs, not necromancy.

Didn't get my own pic done. I couldn't think of where to go next with it and I had a pile of work. Alas!
