I am finally making a sketchbook post.
I've been lurking the CA forums for two years, and finally decided to put up a sketchbook. Warning: there's gonna be some total crap in here, but my fiance says that i should get the stuff i throw away & delete C&C'd, and it sounds like a decent idea. so please fire away!

here's some more images, hopefully none are too large....
and another sketch of gruff, a goat man character, hiding in some shadows
Looks like some of your crap has got great idea's revolving around it lol, i suggest refing your lines and rendering then adding constantly till you feel somewhat happy with the outcome

A quick charcoal sketch - anatomy a bit off in places... : /
ugh i suck at painting in PS...
Very nice work, i really like the "Pirate extraordinaire". Oh yeh, Turtles rock!

its ok if you suck at painting in PS, try painting from a photograph with it before doing stuff from your head.
and My only suggestion would be to work on anatomy. Learn from anatomy books and stuff and copy the stuff in them. Same thing for faces and such.
Anyways keep drawing and make it fun. Its a nice thing to get into.

mahran: thanks very much!
my57: C&C much appreciated; will keep pounding away at it!
that being said, scrapped my original idea for the spiderman contest; going in a different direction. Then onto COW & CHOW try-outs!
this is initial sketch, ( post thumbs ) now for blocking etc.
and some more blocking.. trying for an atmospheric effect further down, shoulda grabbed some kinda screen cap or sumthin for better ref...
alos, predators looks soooo freakin sweet... I hope it doesn't suck : /
uno mas... more studies tomorrow
You should try to avoid using black and white when painting. Try to think of what colors are in the shadows and in the light. On a sunny day the light from the sun is pretty neutral or slightly warm, and the shadows will be a cool blue because of the sky. And don't forget to put some cast shadows in there.

I didn't have an apple so I painted my Hackeysack
A few scribbles, crits are always welcome, trying hard to get better, better, and someday so good that I can pay rent with scribbles!
There's just something so appealing about an evil pumpkin headed scarecrow isnt there?

ya, always fun
It's supposed to be Merv Pumpkinhead from The Sandman, having a guy made of straw & sticks really helps on flubbed anatomy
