Are you aware that there are people in this world that have a severe medical condition which causes them to be that way? My mother for instance is one of those people. She is a truck driver that has bad knees and a bad back from driving the truck but you probably do not care about that case either. Oh well I am not one of those people I am 6'4" 245lbs and I exercise every day. I would love to see you say something like to my mother in front of me. Probably never happen though you are probably just an internet tough guy. I doubt very seriously you would say that to someones face. Just my thought. What do you think. Oh I am sorry you probably do not have a brain. I on the other hand will be happy to buy you a plane ticket to come here and see if you have the nerve to say that to someone I know.

Ok, so why are you worried about everyone else? What are you doing to make your art better?

It's also not impressive to use the wrong homonym for "it's"

    You used a possessive.

Rikkits- Actually drawing from photo ref does help, so do studies from anatomy books. And I try to think like a half brained monkey when I come up with ideas, which has nothing to do with ref or studies. Maybe you should stick to devient art or 4chan until you decide to take art seriously.

    *Jack Sparrow impersonation* ...Shoo.

    Mr. Manly-looking Squidward/Rikkits,

seriously now, why come here start this or if its just an opinion that's fine. Does this kind of opinion really need expressing?

Also, as for doing and/or using anatomy books and photographs it's quite simple really, it's because they...CAN HELP!

As for getting out of our parents basements; I don't live in one, however I would like one because its gives me peace and quiet, and no distractions when I need to get stuff done.

Until you're a master draftsman, being judgmental of what works and what's not you just come off as very naive.

I have a flat (apartment) thank you very much! And the prospect of skinning someone so I can learn anatomy kinda sucks so I'll stick with posemaniacs

I for one appreciate your concern and thank you for sharing this precious secret. I don't think I would have found it if you hadn't told me.

I don't live with my parents anymore, and they don't have a basement in any case. They do, however, have a wine cellar, and once when they were away for a long time I lived in there. I didn't draw photographs and instead got drunk on very expensive and progressively better wine, but it still counts. I then proceeded to break all of the bottles I had emptied and some that I had not emptied into tiny bits whilst singing loudly.

During this time I had a fantastic revelation of a secret that I wanted to post on the internet, but before I could do so I realized the error of my ways and decided to keep this to myself. Instead I painted all the broken bottle pieces in different colours and created a mosaic depicting a mob of angry farmers dismembering a nobleman for telling them how to farm when he himself knows nothing about farming.

Which is a good idea, bridgman and loomis have a lot to teach.

or from some stupid picture on google.
You seem to be confusing this place with DA. Peeps here don't copy photos to call it their own, posting it up thinking that what they did was creative. They copy photos to understand something going on in the photo (anatomy, lighting, etc) and generally don't display it as if it was some great acheivment.

Sooooo... understanding of general function of studies fail.
