Line Environments and a Video Speedpaint

    Hi,
Just thought Id share some stuff.

Here are some quick envronments concept tests..., the project didnt turn out.. They were made trying to captivate the typical 60s thriller books with gouche pictures, I have no other info to share

Also, for fun and testing I did a speedpaint video I added to Youtube. An Avatar inspired speedpaint....Yeah I had to pick something I thought would interes others than just artists I spent about 15 minutes on it but doubled the speed to match the music and to make it a bit less boring.

    Final Image:

And heres the video (watch in HD from Youtube):

environments are good, the avatar portrait seems off, I think her eyes are too big and the Na'vi noses are longer from what I remember, but hey 15 minutes? holy smoke that's a breaking record or something!

Hey guys thanks for the response.

Daryl, thanks, yeah I definately had good fun with these.

hive_minD, takker , hyggelig hre. SKal fortsette oppdatere

DannyK, Yeah probably a bit off, it was not an attamp of accuracy, simply just quick doodle having fun with YouTube, never done that before.
Im definately gonna make more YouTube videos too, so those will be more interesting and better I hope - just need to find an appealing idea to paint.

    thanks again

I really like the environments. They manage to be very clean, and yet kinda rough. I love 'em and I know I could never create anything like them.

There is a really great french-comic book feel to the environments. Wow, I probably sound like a total tool saying that.

What I mean to say is they are awesome.

bumping this thread a little by coming with a quick question or questions.

Was wondering what your take on being an Illustrator// in Norway is like? ups and downs and such.

Can you/ do you live off of your art totally or do you sometimes require additional jobs here and there?

Are most of your jobs from national employees or international?

It's no rush, and I totally understand if you haven't got the time, though I am just wondering, seeing I plan on one day going down a similar path. So if you want, could you pm me, or reply here `much appreciated!
