Nice works, The portrait of your dad is cool. You get these strange vibrating edges on your digital paintings, as the form turns it's a nice feature.

surus: I'll post more pencils soon, promise!
Cam Sykes: Thanks Cam, it means a lot!!

Just one update today, this one took me a while but it totally paid off! My wonderful girlfriend (she's a keeper) bought me the Planes of the Head bust for Christmas and gave it to me today because she's going back home for the holidays, so I did a study of it

The neck and ear portion remain unfinished, I just got bored to be honest. But I'll do many more studies of it in the future, so I'm not worried too much about it now.

Thanks for looking everyone, Happy Holidays!

Very good stuff, I like how you sometimes blur certain parts of the drawing probably with the smudge tool.

Jasper_: Haha, thanks man! One of these days I'm going to get my ass in gear and do that livestream!
    lennon: Thanks!
teapo: Thanks, much appreciated! Great of you to stop by again
jedininjaman: Thanks man, yeah I agree the color might be off as well.
    Guik: Thanks!
    Alrap: Thanks a ton!
    D.M.: Thanks for the compliment!
Metal Fingers: Yeah man they're great. Fantastic studies and observations from it.
TFsean: Thanks a lot bro, very appreciated

Hey everyone! Man, like a month flew by...so much stress from school...nothing too new, but here are two fairly recent class assignments, both finished. Hope you all like them! First one is the finished Gods piece from a few posts ago, and the second one was a prompt in which we had to make an anthropomorphic character, so I drew Cerberus. Definitely took more of a children's book approach to it than I normally would, I like how it turned out.

    Thanks for looking!

PS. Me and Jasper planned to do a livestream show for the longest time, and because of scheduling conflicts and overall lame-assness on my part, it got put off and put off. Sunday night is the night! Time TBA, I'll let you all know

Fantastic figures--really rich color variation (I'd love to hear any tips you have on pushing colors). You make a very clear effort to really understand the planes of the form, which is oh-so-important, not to mention aesthetically great when you show it with the large, rectangular brushstrokes.

...I promise I'll post an actually useful critique here once the initial shock and awe wear off.

Meps: Thanks a lot! The only tips I can say on using color, other than just doing it, is to try using the HSB sliders. Find the correct value of a color, then attempt to adjust the hue/saturation until it makes sense, and keep testing it on the canvas. Hope that helps!
    sourgasm: Thanks so much!
    sddhrth: I appreciate it!
    Sebastian Gromann:
kevinwueste: Thanks Kevin, great of you to stop in!
Metal Fingers: Get one going so we can have a livestream club haha!
    NickyBeats: Thanks a ton bro!

Two pretty quick things, just a SB page and a simplified portrait (tried real hard to get color, value and form down as succinctly as possible).

Jasper and I are going to livestream in an hour, at 8PM EST! Please come and join in!

EDIT: Livestream is over on my end, I REALLY appreciate everyone showing up and supporting us. Tomorrow we're doing a stream at 7AM lasting till whenever, so make sure to show up if you want to start waking up early like I do!

    Livestream!

I can't really understand how the heads on Cerberus connect to his body, but the rendering is nice.

I really liked the close up wips of the lion and blue guy

It shows you figuring out things with ur brushstrokes.

Also wondering if you start digitals with lineart?

    Thanks.
