lpetkov - sketches & scraps
Sketches, mostly old (3-4 months+) ones. I don't sketch much recently, cause.. of my own stupidity, lazyness and weakness (I almost kinda gave up art after not being accepted in art college). Anyway, enjoy and comment if you have something to say.
Don't burn me alive yet, I plan to put myself together and restart.

I'm not sure what the reasons were, of why you weren't accepted into an art college, but as far as I'm concerned, these are the the kind of studies they should be interested in.
Don't sweat it, Mano, I think you're doing the right things, just keep it up.

man, I hate scanning...
Anyway. Here are some more. A lot of them are copies of other artist drawings (Michelangelo, Vilppu, Bridgman, etc), some are from imagination. Some are 30+ mins, some are 5 seconds or so.

I am in love with your figure studies, especially those gesture drawings. The line-work is simple, yet effective in showing movement. Keep updating us on more sketches!

These are some lovely Bridgman studies here. Making me want to get on the ball too! Also, before you give up, at least give it your best effort. i'm looking forward to seeing some updates from you. I really would like to see how far you progress in the realm of figure drawing. It seems to be a growing strong point that you're exercising a lot. Really, those Bridgman studies are no joke, keep at it. I can't wait to see them applied

Great work! I really like the last set of sketches. Who is Bridgman btw?
Trying to draw every day since Feb 26th 2014.
Crits are always more than welcome!

Amazing studies, mate. It makes me feel like a lazy bum I can't imagine where it was that they didn't accepted you, but you are on a very good path. Keep at it and never quit!
P.S: Do you happen to be a bulgarian?
