Awesome stuff, your figure drawing and tonal drawings are exceptionally good, you have such strong and active lines. It gives a pleasing life to the figures.

You've got a great sense of form. Texture and weight qualities are pretty impressive too, like what you've done in the hair in the first two drawings, the guy's blue hair, hanging lip, texture in mustache, weight of head in hand. Twist of head and torso is really great in your self portrait, the distortion in your near eye is very effective, I'm feeling how you articulated the headband on the corner of your head, smart use of speculars. Pretty good use of texture on those flowers, do you have allergies? Great tactile quality in the grape head lady, plastic like leaves, squishy grapes, good decorative use of head. Great use of 2 and 3D space in your life drawings of your hands and feet, compression and rubbing gesture in those feet is well done.

I like the the shape of the black womans head and the contour line of her face. The folk art decorations of their faces almost have a mexican mural kind of feel which I enjoy. I think the image has more impact with the trees cropped off and yet I like the formal placement of the girl's head where it is now, not quit center. The spontaneity of this composition I think has much to do with it's appeal yet I think you could have planned more in the thumbnails.

Was looking back and forth between the cropped image and the original. The cropped one has better unity of action, I believe the story is clearer, there is so much info in the contour of the white shape between the two heads, the woman's face and the girls hair. Thank you for teaching me that. Yet I feel like it's a little too heavy and dark and the original has that white expanse which adds some cheerfulness, and I do feel it is part of the story but some how not quite harmonized.

Hey Armando, I like the composition you chose. Its true, I should do more thumbnails and work on my composition. Your composition is a lot more intimate and makes certain shapes pop out more. Thanks for giving the time to my painting =D
