    Question Artist's resume question...

Ok I'm sure this has probablly been asked before but I'm having a hard time finding it anywhere. Also I'm not sure if this is even the best part of CA.org to ask this but anyway. My question is:

As a starting freelancer who is contacting AD's for the first time what information should be included in a cover letter or query letter?

Also does anyone have a good example of or know where to find a good example of a cover/query letter for a freelance illustrator?

    Any help is greatly appreciated

    thanks,
    Adam

Show your portfolio, not a resume.

Include a brief description of yourself, your work, and the reasons why you want to work with that client in the cover letter.

Don't forget to provide means to contact you.

From my xp the two things for an AD that are most interesting are: What you do, and why you do it.
