    Cylinder Construction & Overlap

    I made these up for my class and thought maybe they would be helpful to people here as well.

    I don't know if "further away" is the best way to describe what's going on in your first example, since, if ellipses are on the same level, they'll actually get "shorter" as they get further away. You're probably better off emphasizing the concept of eye level.
