Feng is not only a great artist, but he's one of those rare artists that's also good at teaching. It's obvious that the years of teaching abroad have really sharpened his presentation skills. These videos are really great, they're informal, but he drills into just about every major rule of composition that there is and explains them in a very easy to understand way. I highly agree that everyone should watch these.

Thanks a lot for this link. There are several tips that I found really useful. Especially the part about painting very tight detail in separate enlarged canvas and then pasting it back. I'll definitely use it in my future environments.

Feng Zhu explains things well and is really good designer. The only thing that I don't like in this type of environments is tendency to use overly dramatic lightning. I know it's entertainment design and everything has to be super flashy but for example in episode 3 video he made the scene look like there is almost some nuclear blast going on in the background while the original piece had a bit different mood.

It would be cool if Feng Zhu can shift his school from Singapore to the US, and have Vilppu / Sheldon / Art Center / LAAFA / some SoCal art school shift from the US to Singapore. I would love that!
