Yes, CA is finally back, you are back, we are all back,
I am so euphoric all about this. The new color scheme is a bit
strange, but we'll get use to it I suppose after some time.
Soulcarver is looking strong and heavy.
Super cool refreshment from the basement.
damn good sketchbook, and great illustrations and concepts! i agree with the hip-sword ratio problem, just be a bit more conscious about the feminine "curves" great drawings and ideas man Post moaaar!
@LtPlissken - Ya gonna get used to it. Thanks again
@iven - Wow thanks. I would brag but seriously i have no idea if i actually do that, i just draw normally, without that in mind. The only thing i do concentrate on is to get a dynamic and flowy lines and anatomy. Lately I am trying to get into contour drawing and more free hand stuff.
@lionheartGFX - Ya man even if i tell myself that the ladies should have curvy and broader hips, i always end up narrowing them down. I am trying to get rid of it though. Thanks for dropping by.
I been busy trying find a job in concept art or atleast something art related but have no luck yet. Also been sketching some stuff. Here are some usual sketches and some failed attempts at inking and charcoal XD And portraits .
whats up witht he 20 pictures per post limit :| uh
Whoa thanks for checking out my sketchbook man, i love your lines theres so much energy in your drawings i like it alot! i look forward to seeing more from your thread
really nice sketchbook you have here sin eater, big improvements since the last time i checked
your anatomy studies are looking good, very inspiring actually >_> i feel quite laid back(isn't a good thing) when I see how much time you invest in your studies, shows how much more I need to put in too.
great stuff again
in the name of all that is holy what a great update i really like how you did that girl portrait specially the atmosphere and likeness post more man some of those figures are coming out seriously great and that issue with the female proportions is almost gone now keep it up
Your stuff, blast, I like the last one very much so with the scull in it.
I am very much impressed how you build up your figures I can even see
the bones in the legs. The women drumming looks very good.
thanks for your feedback,...
@Freshfool - Sure thing man. Thanks for dropping by.
@razen_sketch - Thanks razen
@lionheartGFX - Haha thanks man. I am really looking out for the pelvic region now when i draw it. XD
@iven - Thanks man.
I been wanting to draw comics for a long time but i could not work up the courage till now neither do i know how to approach it. Here is an attempt at making a one shot comic. My focus was the story telling more than anything here. But still i messed it up. I hope it makes sense story telling wise. Any cc are welcome. Especially on how to go about panels and composition.
Hot melted butter on saggy soft huge breasted, disappearance
of the hard crafted current achievements. Your drawing style
and hard core dedication is back once again, you have struck back
with a big entrance, sketching drawing and full pages of magical
comprehends. You are a true example and an inspiration for me,
I am trying to shade and to draw just like this, this way is a good way.
The paper felt your irresistible sentence, through your adequate drawing
patience. More than happy I am that you built up the courage to start doing
comics, your art here really started to shine. Your storytelling is good, I
understood that the bloke is walking on the middle of the road, he is different,
and he doesn’t think like the rest of the world, but you got a high price for this,
you could get run through by cars or something else in life. Bravery is a secret
word here. You became brave and good at the same time. Unbelievable.
The headlights reminded me on female breasts, and I like that very much.
You keep building up your indestructible monastery, with or
without any sacrifices. If you have to sacrifice anyone, then
it better be an old dirty woman. You can build her into
the east side base of the building.
On the girl portrait her right (our left) eye is too far apart and a bit high and her neck is too narrow on that side - take a line behind her ear (that you can't see) and draw it down.
@Ltplissken- Haha Thanks a lot . I really appreciate it. Oh and your interpretation of the comic is way better than mine. XD Hahaha
@Blackspot- Yeah it is kind of distorted. My friend actually did a correction and made it way better. I ll post it.
I had give a sculpting and a texturing test from a studio for me to get in there. I did what i could but sadly I was rejected. It is kind of depressing but had to move on. I had to sculpt a hoodie jacket and texture a floor panel. Here they are along with some random sketches from sketchbook. Also the previous portrait i made , my friend who is studying in fzd right now did a correction on it and it looks way better now. Now i realise how bad the portrait was originally. It is depressing. XD
That studio is obviously run by meatheaded cactus plants and
low intelligent amoebas, cause no one should reject someone like
you. Your art is pure gold, and now as I see your new sketches and
the way you accentuated the positive, I realized that there is no place
for any negatives. Your 3D modeling and sculpting qualities, they
are beyond the unreachable. You are good and the most scariest
thing is that you are still evolving, you are an ever improving
phenomenon. Keep up with the happy attitude and with the
fresh Christmas spirit.
i really enjoy your sketchbook man, i especially enjoy your dragons and anatomies beautiful stuff. Thanks for sharing. And stay positive man, that's what matters. i'm just starting my sketchbook, and i can choose to be depressed and not work or actually work with a positive mind set. so get to work, you can only get better. peace.
Super improvement since the last time I was here! There's some really nice colors at work on the Asian girl's face. The strands of hair are a nice touch. I think your friend was spot on with the corrections; maybe just see if you can't produce the same results yourself!
You seem to know where you are and where you're going, so I'm just here to say good work! Definitely improving.
@Ltplissken- Thanks a lot, I will! Happy holidays man.
@Yemi75- Thank you, It is kind of depressing at times but the people here and there works is what keeps me going. Thanks again for dropping by.
@PeopleEveryday- Thanks, thats really nice to hear, and if you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know.
I Bought a Sakura micron Pigment marker set of 6. It ranges from 08 to 0.1 nib sizes! So it lets me get into ultra fine detailings XD. It is so awesome. I tried them out with some animal studies which i put some basic colors on and some regular pencil sketches as usual. Also the world dint end . >.> Happy holidays everyone!
I love your sketchbook- there's a huge pile of growth from the early pages to your most recent stuff. All your hard work shows for sure!
I read on your first post that you were an animation student - I'm an animator too (well, assorted animation and animation related things lol.)
Also read this bit:
There's also layout, design, - web design and game interface stuff is really picking up.
I recommend doing an inventory of all the game / cartooning places in your area and doing a few specific portfolio pieces for those places.
Your work has a very grown up style, leaning towards gaming - but if your surrounded by studios doing animation for kids 4-14, it's going to be tough looking for work.
In my experience you need 2 years of work before people take you seriously. Having a bit of diversity in your portfolio can really help with the initial search. So throw in some sparkly unicorns and kittens lol.
Good luck & Happy sketching.
The combination of Sakura micron Pigment and you, has started to do miracles on paper.
Phenomenal sketches. From the animals, the eagle is looking proud, he did another successful kill.
My favorite is the bear in the upper right corner. His mystic warm look is melting up my heart
deep within. He is like in a mood for jazz and playing chess. He stole a cheese and he is missing
because of that his left ear. Very good results overall. And the world didn’t end indeed. All those
who gave them self the right to claim something blatant like that, can lock them self up in a
coffin and shot their brains out with a big gun. You know that there is a large rich force on this
earth, a chain of never satisfied greedy individuals, who wants to run everything. If a regular person gets
a human immunodeficiency virus infection, or acquire immunodeficiency syndrome, then
he’s screwed and he’ll die fast and brutal. But if they get something like that, they’ll get cured.
And after all, if the world would have ended, they couldn't go on and brag;
“You see, I told you that it will end.”
Merry Christmas, and happy holidays.
@Rhubix- Thanks A lot! I was in an animation school but sadly the school was shit. I dint learn anything there. On the other hand I dont even like doing animation anymore because of the way they taught us. I was into 2d animation at first. But I had real bad experience at my school. I understand what you are saying. I am leaning too much on realism at the moment i guess. I think i need to be more flexible. I shall work on different styles from here on. And yeah draw some ponies too . Thanks again for dropping by. Aprreciate it!
@vlad74- hey vlad. Thanks
@Ltplissken- Hahaha Actually its not a bear, he was my first dog who died 3 years ago. Although I agree he looked like a bear, a tiny cuddly bear XD. Thanks man. Same to you.
I am finally starting with environments. I am not entirely sure how to approach it and how to get details with larger strokes. But it's a start. I really need to learn environments. Also a quick figure study. I just wanted to get the tones in this one. Was not going for likeness. This was a rather enjoyable experience. And a quick ball pen portrait with slight edit in ps.
Does anyone have any alchemy tutorials? I really want to learn this software. It's really fun and engaging when i am really bored. Also anyone knows how to do vector illustrations in photoshop? I dont even know what that means exactly XD. I want to do some tshirt designs. But I dont know how to approach vector art. I wanted to use some of my sculpts and try to flatten it into flat colors for printing. So any ideas anyone?
I love the smell of tits in your sketchbook. I did vector art in Adobe Illustrator. Illustrator
is for vector work. You have also other software for vector work, just google up “top 10
software for vector art” and you will find free ones also. Vector stuff is different and if
you didn’t done it before you will need to spend some time to skill yourself up. I was kind
of frustrated with Adobe Illustrator, especially after 4 years of Photoshop experience is so
hard to switch to that style. I mean the tools the environment and the entire concept is
different. But if you really want to do it, you will get the hang of it. Usually I draw with
graphite pencils, then I scan it, edit my lines a bit in Photoshop, and then I import my lines
in illustrator, “Live Paint” it and continue coloring from there. Here is one of my work.
Please don’t laugh.
XD That being said, those B&W portraits in #207 and #233, beautiful work! Oh and loved the detailed animal head studies in #227 too..
And hey, for vector work, I prefer Illustrator over Photoshop (i haven't researched on using photoshop vectors in printing tees).. If you're familiar with using the pen tool, then creating the lineart in vector shouldn't be hard.. There is also the option of vectorizing your scanned-in line art and then colouring it digitally in illustrator. The colouring part might take a little time getting used to, coz you would need to create shapes and get familiar with some of the tools..
But it's not that hard Lemme know if you need help with illustrator! It's a handy tool to learn
Plus you could make some income off shutterstock or some other stock illustration selling site (they accept raster images too) my shutterstock gallery
Hello! I'm trying to improve my artwork and I really could use your critique - S k e t c h b o o k
You stay positive man that's all that matters keep up the good work.
Ahhhh.. Ball point? That portrait is amazing. If you wouldn't mind me asking - which animation school did you go to? (for avoidance purposes XD)
Really like your style... It's very appealing and also... *me like dark*!!
@Ltplissken- No way man, that looks great. I struggle so much making something cleaned up or polished,it is not even funny. Thank you for your constant support. I will look into vector art. Its something i gotta learn.
@Sharon- Haha Sorry about the inactivity. Just going through bad phases. =.=
Saw your shutterstock gallery. Those are so awesome. I like how simple but pretty they are. You should do more of those and make it into a illustration book or something. I love the style!
@Gautham- Haha good to know.
@yemi775- Yeah man. It gets frustrating but thats how it is. I guess i have to push through anyhow.
@cabbage catterpillar- Whoa thank you! Yay
You guys are so awesome. THank you for taking your time to see this thread even if theres not much to see. I have been very non productive lately. Too much shit going on. And to top that i need to find a job soon somehow to survive. Everywhere i have applied so far either no replies or i got rejected. I din't think rejection would get to me but it does. But Its not even a question about giving up cause this is the only thing i know and the only thing I can do. I wanna learn so much but i have no idea how. The only way i know is to draw till my hands bleed. On that note,I should do that instead of posting useless rant. I just needed to let it out somewhere.
Trying to make an artwork polished and clean will be the death of me. Uh I cant make anything without making it scribbly and random lines all over with bad strokes and colors. It really annoys me but i still keep doing that. When I draw on the paper , i get frustrated when i see a stroke of pencil i dont like. I feel like it should not look random or small stroked and all. Lately i been looking at great artists sketches and all. What i come to realise is they dont really care for a bad stroke or a drawing that does not look good. They just do it anyways. Scribbly or not they seem to enjoy all of there doodles. It's really great to see them doing things so casually. and not really caring for the end result.
I been trying to make things look good so much that i have forgotten how to enjoy drawing like i used to. Thats why i am letting go of end result. I am just gonna draw my heart out. Even if it is badly drawn. Not very clean. Polished or not. All i want is to enjoy them again. Clean smlean polished smolished pfft
I dont know if any of it makes sense. But for whatever reason , i ll put it here. I am kind of unstable right now i guess.
Here are some very random stuff . I had fun with these. Not really happy with painting though. If anyone has any advice on how to keep things a bit cleaner hence more focused, do help me out.
Wow I really dont know what to say, you are through, draw you mind.
Thanks for you time will work on it.
I reeeally really like the girl which is drumming, sooo strong, the pose the look.
I like how you just show outlines in some parts. This girl could be a good logo, shirt
or shot. Amazing.
