Thanks for jumping in for a while to my sketchbook
You can deal quite good with pencil, those sketches are really something, but keep up practicing color I'd suggest using big brush instead of drawing a small one on the same place a few times(if you get what I mean, my english failed this time) ^^

@Revidescent- ah yeah i know what you mean. It is kind of lumpy XD. thanks
@Gthm/death- I dont know how that sculpt looks like me :|. Look at the big sharp nose and broad jaw. I have nothing like it =.= oh well.
@rumpenstiltzkin- haha thank you .
@Black Spot- Thanks , I will.
@Namae- thank you. I need a lot more practice in digi painting. I am on it XP.
Been busy with stuff .Just a portrait for now. Again i lost a lot of similarities from the reference. But oh well. I did try out a more rough and quick approach to paint. Used bigger brushes mostly.

Pumping Iron? I've been going through it the last few days! Nahaaice going with the Arnie sketch! His head looks a bit too big for the body though. One thing I did notice was that, his arm muscles when flexed were as big as his head :p
The portrait looks good, methinks using the big brush worked well for it
Oh and post #98? That's one badass sculpt O_____O
Hello! I'm trying to improve my artwork and I really could use your critique - S k e t c h b o o k
February 15th, 2012 #126
@Sharon J - Wish i was pumping iron. I could use some muscles on me =.=, so many muscle studies make me depressed XD. Oh well. You saw how arnie's muscles are bigger than his head, cause that is how goddamned badass he is. That is how he rolls . Just kidding i just looked at the picture again and noticed i missed the perspective and foreshortening on the whole left hand oh well. Thanks a lot for coming back. Much appreciated .
I watched constantine for the 10th time(?) last night. Always wanted to make something about it. Although this is not exactly what i had in mind but still wanted to make something with a gritty noir look. Maybe i overdid .But this is just me experimenting. I am trying to get out of the digital airbrushing look. So experimenting with more hardbrushes and textured brushes. I shall not stoopppaa!

I just talked to Stallone on the phone this afternoon.
I gave him your sketchbook link. He is delighted now,
as he keep fermenting his yesterday alcohol he digested.
Tonight he will come to me and we will have a little slumber party.
Your work is getting better and better, and that's why you
are welcome to visit us also. Just remember, bring your own pillow.

@LtPlissken- Holy crap, sylvester stallone ? D: I shall visit you for sure XD. Thank you for your comment. Always puts a smile on my face.
@gthm/death- Thanks. actually its a subtle 'up yours' remark XD. But now that i see , it does not fit in there . Oh well.
Heres a quick sketch doodle thingy.

Your cartoons have a certain look, but they could do with a 'bit' of cleaning up, but don't go too mad or they'll lose their charm.

@ Black Spot- Yeah they do have a distinct look, hope its not a bad thing . I ll try more cleaning up next time. Trying to find a consistent look for now. Thanks again for dropping by.
@ el eiko one- Thanks !
Here are some quick portraits. The bigger ones were done in around 1-2 hours. Last one is done with ball pen. Felt good using pen after a while.

Hey, good to see you've been using bigger brushes for the portrait study. That is usually the way to go; it helps, learning to lay down the big shapes first.
Also, really liking the left portrait on the last piece that you uploaded. Definitely looks like a step up from your previous work.
Speaking of Constantine, I have NO clue why they got Keanu Reeves to play the role. It's just plain... baffling. By the way, have you seen this cover by Phil Hale? His version of Constantine really speaks to me.
Good to see you doing pencil studies. That really lays the base.

@Vritra- Hey thanks for dropping by! I think i am one of the only few who actually liked keanu reeves in constantine . Yeah i have seen phil hale's version. That is awesome.
Just a fanart of re-l mayer from ergo proxy.

Death from above, a silent death
for a crow. You have managed it.
You have done it. You made this last
one to look good and hot at the same time.
I know, you do not care about the altitude,
cause you have the right kind of attitude.
And you just want another drink.
Your approach is always beauteous.

Nice pencil work. Not sure about the guy smoking and his obscured eye. No cartoons?

@LtPlissken- haha thank you! I shall keep that up .
@Revidescent- Thanks again for dropping by, glad you like it .
@Blackspot- I guess I over did it.Just learning the basics again. More cartoons soon!
@Vritra- Thanks. I shall do that .
Been busy with some stuff. Just a speed painting for now, trying out lose colors.
March 13th, 2012 #140
loving the fan art - and for a speed painting that's really cool ^__^

The situation just went sticky and tricky
as her hands got messy. I know that she just
made some freshly spring time salad out of someone's
intestines and genitals mixed up with oranges and bananas.
She pops her huge behind right and left as she enjoys the
pleasures of joy. She delivers a hard pain as her ass shakes.
Everyone of us would like to have someone like her in our
garden shed. Homegrown nicely shaped mashed potatoes.
I like her so much.

@Gail_Blitzy- Thanks a lot for dropping by.
@LtPlissken- She will drive you wild sir!
@Gthm/death- Glad you do!
@Vritra- Actually I used a reference. It was a daily deviation in deviant art so i guess you might have seen it in deviant art. Here is the link -http://pin-up-bombshell.deviantart.com/art/Whip-It-282281161
So I have been busy in a project of my own along with two of my friends. The initial idea is to make a small playable game but due to time contsraint, we are making more of a proof of concept. I am designing the creatures and common characters for the game and handling the sculpting part .
Here are some of the stuffs i designed/sculpted till now. I will be posting more as i make stuff. Here is the facebook page for the project. Do check it out. You might like what you see there!
So I had to make infected characters with plant mutations.I did some quick sketching and paintings and aslo made a head sculpt and painted over.
March 23rd, 2012 #145
Here is a generic human i sculpted and textured in zbrush for the project.
March 23rd, 2012 #146
wow some great improvement in only 5 pages! If you keep it up like this by page 100 youll be a star. No real crits from me, other than to reduce your overall value scale for your portraits. Especially the female ones. They would have more femininity if you kept the values restricted rather than pushing the features quite so much.
Thats just something to think about anyway. Keep it up!
March 24th, 2012 #147
@ThomasM- thanks a lot. I will keep that in mind, I tend to detail unnecessarily with tones which makes it look old or strange. Thank you for dropping by
Here is a psychadelic painting. I just dint think , just went wild. This was really fun.
March 24th, 2012 #148
The white of the eye could do with being toned down - they really aren't that bright. while I can appreciate the modelling, the flesh is a bit orange. As I'm not an expert in 3d rendering, the lighting should cast some cooler colours like blue and green, which I'm not seeing.
March 25th, 2012 #149
I generally like the whole infected characters idea,
and the project will be a great barn burner for sure.
I would also like to highlight the Berserker concept and face,
cause it looks way too cool. I would use higher contrast on
some of your character paintings. The 3D work is looking
outstanding, I think that you are figured out Zbrush greatly.
The last psychadelic painting is interesting, and its surely
using good for releasing your demons.
March 27th, 2012 #150
@Black Spot- Yeah you are right . I am still new to the 3d rendering and even color theory as a whole. I will implement that next time. Thanks
@LtPlissken- Thanks man . Yeah it does need more contrast. I can see a lot of mistake in them already. I shall improve!
Just some paintover variations for different types of infection.
