Thread: MishaArt's sketchbook
May 31st, 2010 #1
Hello and welcome
I`m a new member here, registered to learn techniques of painting landscapes and conceptarts, maybe matte paintings further.
My workshop is very weak ATM and I hope this board will help me to improve my skills and creativity.
I`ll show you some of my recent drawings that I've done recently - and I hope you will be able to point out my weakness at aspects of a good drawing (yup there is a lot of those - I know).

Good start so far! You could really push these a lot further if you work more on your lighting and composition, the last images you posted are a great way to practice that. Have a look at this workshop http://www.imaginefx.com/02287754331...ion-right.html, i learned tons from it. Just keep practicing, also studies from photos and paintings can help a lot. I'm looking forward to seeing more

@aiRaGe - thanks a lot for that link, I was searching the web to find some good articles about composition - and I couldn't find any useful - but you made my collection of helpful stuff bigger

Lovely ideas in your drawings. But, yeah, composition is a big must (like I'm one to talk >_>) but also, the accuracy of the subject you are drawing. I'd like to see some defined edges in your paintings. : )

Very impressive. Nice start, I like your first post, especially the 3rd and last sketch your provided. You do good on sketching when you make your drawings more detailed with proper shading of colors. Keep it up!

@nyje - thank you
@bryananthonydgm - thanks!
update - still discovering women's bodies... (sounds a bit sexist xD)
I've got to admit that I prefer sketching with pencils over tablet and PS...

@Mussy - thanks for your kind words But I`m sure I`m not pretty much there... I need to set my mind to create, and it's a painful process....

It's been a long time since my last update... but some things are happening in my life and I didn't have much time for drawing....
But it looks like some problems will be solved - and that's why I`m able to draw again, so here are some quick sketches from me.
