Looking great man, really like the ship concepts on the most recent page. I'd love to see one taken to a fully rendered state with the metallic wear, grime, materials rendered with varying reflectiveness, etc not unlike this:
    http://screenshots.filesnetwork.com/...rs/ccgen10.jpg

The environment on post 53 with 5 different colour palettes is one of my favourites, love the shapes, variety and composition. If this is currently in your portfolio I might suggest having one extremely warm version and one that looks like a snow/ice landscape with the same shapes etc as the last two green ones are fairly similar.

    Thanks, both of you.

rumpenstiltzkin: Thanks again for the comments. you gotta make some time to go explore, this city is very beautiful.

Tb0ne: that one is not in my portfolio.. just a lasso study pretty much. and thanks for the reference. Good production artwork always sets my mind out of that attitude where I think i am "good enough" its like a virtual slap to the face. Thanks(no sarcasm)

    More updates in the future...

Wow, can't believe I haven't been here before. These are fantastic! I love the style. The houses look so livable - makes me wanna pick up everything, move out to some exotic countryside and build one on a cliff.

i feel bad i cant really give any great crits D: the only thing i was thinking about the matte painting was the colors, there is so much of it that it doesnt really blend in together to well, like there is green on the right, red to the left and blue in the background.
and some sort of sky would set it more into a world, the white gives a bit of an empty unfinished feeling to it right now...
but i apologise for my noobish input! i hope you make some more matte paintings, they seem alot of fun to do :p

Hi Jeff, cool to see another person from Vancouver here. I think your sketches are awesome. Really unique take on buildings. For the last piece though, it feels a bit confused in approach... Like you have these really clean simple areas and then other areas are more textured and it's a bit distracted. I think it would work better if everything was treated more uniformly. Anyway, keep kicking ass.

Thanks again for dropping in Velocity.
That painting is inspired by your work. lol. and yeah the white lines are like a security defense to hold the artificial river from collapsing and flooding the quarry.

    Heres some more work.
More coming in a few.. once i scan and shop them..
