Nice thumbs men, it might help you besides capturing the overall placement and values on your studies to analyze the images a little bit more and detail to make it more understandable. Your human figure studies are looking good, keep them coming

Very nice paintings, your portraits are looking very strong. This one is really really cool
neck might be a bit small though.
The forearms have inconsistent sizes and lengths on the last painting BTW, mainly the the right arm is a bit minuscule even considering foreshortening . And on the one on the right, his neck doesn't connect into the torso and the torso doesn't quite connect into the pelvis either, have you tried flipping it? I do love the head though, it's a great face.
This and this are really kick ass BTW. The concepts are fantastic.
Oh yeah, good luck with finding a job. I've been trying for some time too.

Aaron_ - Cheers man, yeah i see what your saying, i need to trace the underlying structure on a new layer maybe. Oh and thanks for making me remember about that concept of the homeless guy, i quite liked that and meant to finish but just got distracted as usual. Thanks buddeh.

Sweet work man, i find some of your pieces are so very strong, and then some seem so rushed which is such a shame because they have so much potential!
I enjoyed the character designs of the "level 1, 2 and 3" military dude, i think that was creative, would have been nice for perhaps a colour scheme change?
like level 1 could be plain brown clothes, by lvl 3 or higher u cud have camo gear, and some extra equipment actually visible ( a gun, knife showing etc) to show that he becomes more versatile and skilled! Still, i need to do more Design myself haha!

Woah a huge step in improvement your portraits have great depth, texture and value to them only downside is some of your figures look a little flat just add some more depth to them and you got it

Cool stuff here! Your portraits are quite nice
One thing I see in all your work is an inattentiveness to edges. I think if you worked on just this one area your paintings would jump in quality really drastically. Take a read through here:
