    \\\Doom-Breath's Sketch-Dump///

    Hey there,

Brand new to this forum, finally got the kick in the pants enough to pursue this and get some rapid improvement happening. I'm 22, aspiring to be an illustrator, but looking into other things like comics books or even character design. There's alot I want to do and experiment with. Plenty to share. I enjoy heavy metal, tattoos, horror, sci-fi, etc. etc.

I'll probably start with some still life stuff and the like. Good to meet you all.

    Still life/stuff

Some observation studies. I forgot to add that I'd like critiques at every turn, but that's assumed here

The stuff on your blog is sick. Good solid studies. That skull piece you posted is cool too; somewhat Lovecraftian.

    Post moar!

    Figure studies.

A few of these are posted on my blog too. These were done during the semester at a weekly free figure drawing session, a godsend no doubt.

    Stalkage

Some work from me drawing in class/break.

There was a guy in the front row who had these amazingly distinct arms. I drew them all the time to help me understand them a bit more. Hands too. Enjoy.

    Ah!

@Pixietrick: Thanks much I was told by a teacher to focus on the shape of the shadows and grow the sketch from there!

@King kostas: Thanks much! I need to work a little on line weight though

@Puffynose: Thanks much, yeah, that part I need to work on too, I was taught outlines can be a bit nasty sometimes, I'm sure there's a good balance.

More stuff! Studies and a doodle of a robot!

Hey Danille! Looking freaking awesome. Pretty sexy start to a sketchbook.
Like I said I love the variety and exploration you're showing. The water colours were great and your digitals are coming along very nicely.

Some advice, draw daily! daily! daily! daily! did I mention daily? This means atleast an hour everyday. Just sit down and try to finish some drawing/doodle/sketch/painting. Be it a study or from imagination. If you do a study from life and then do something from imagination then you will benefit tons

Secondly when you study have a focus. Like if you're in figure class let's say you take out 4 weeks. 1 week is focus on head, so all that week you just draw heads, when you're studying for that one week your focus will be on structure, anatomy, form and features. Then next week arms etc. Also you would focus on lets say light for a week, that week all your studies will be on how light works, how it affects an object etc. Your figure drawings will be all about light etc etc Just make sure you really understand what you're studying and then APPLY it afterwards by doing imagination work

Finally I think what really applies to your right now is settling down and finishing work. You'll see huge leaps in your work once you start doing this Danille. Complete a figure drawing right down to complete rendering. Finish of a digital piece, render it to the best finish level you can then PUSH that. Do this with your imagination work as well. Get some work from artist who inspire you and push you and then aim for their level of finish. You might not achieve it in the first 3 tries or even 10 tries but you'll get there faster than ever.

Take care and keep it up!

i see that you will probably work in digital in the same style as you draw. That will be very interesting as you keep up upgrading your style and the foundations.
So keep it up and let us see the progress

Great paintings, captain. They have a "complete" feeling while still managing to have an element of mystery.

    Augh!

Scanning my anatomy stuff later on. For Now, more silly observation studies and a couple of doodles. Playing with layer stuff and textures.

I need to upload something a little more interesting for now on. Geez.

    Continue the harsh crits please.

    Studies and stuff.

Blagh. Late on updating again. I wish I had a shock collar.

Some photo studies and still lifes and junk. I think I need to do some non-study work for a change. Bwaha! Scanning leg sketches next time.
