Yup, it's obvious on your work, enthusiasm gives more often than not lively and confident drawings. Great expression on that hands bwt.

Your post was somewhere on page #3, glad I checked again, your
drawings, painting are super psychedelic, unique in here. You have
so many pages I am sure you know what those arrows are for beside
the illustrations. I posted the screen shot and post on my sb guess #13!

    Hope you swing by again!

I love seeing desk spaces piled up with sketches and paintings, it reminds me of when I was at uni! It just makes for a really nice creative atmosphere What do you study? Sorry if you already answered that question before!

Same course as me then! I really like those face sketches, they're really expressive! What are the little thumbnail images in the sketchbook? They look cool compositionally, but I can't make out what they are from the photo.

Ah, they're just thumbnails for this ghost story project. I focus on composition in the first rounds then more on details in the bigger ones, so I'm not surprised they're hard to make out haha.

Here's some more bits and bobs from the project. Most everything else is still in the studio.

Congratulations on getting into uni! Studying art/illustration there must be so much more informative when you know kind of what you want to do. When I was there I didn't even know you could really do illustration as a 'real' career.

Ah, its my third year in now, saddly the last. Definitely did help I furthered my education, almost went with psychology before this, but I'd have found it very difficult work.
I'm surprised by how hard it was to find a decent illustration course in London but Uni's great. its mainly been good just to set my feet off of a litteral island and figure out how cities work.

No camera on hand so I've only got this meager offering

Hmmm, as someone actually doing gestures, I say those 30 secs ones are on the very limit, that's so accurate for the time limit.

Really? I usually have time to spare on the 30 secs, probably because It helps me not over focus on certain areas. I find the longer poses more difficult.

Maybe draw smaller? That's a common problem with quicker gestures, my 30 sec ones are tiny

Aaaah, if it was as simple as that...anyway, that's my problem to solve I guess.

Nice watercolors, there's something special about the composition and tones. Although, last one was better without the moon, imo.

Ended up well, I still like it more in the second shot of #2206 maybe because of the photo, but anyway, "moon" is a lot better looking now.

Really changed the 2nd and third painting since last post, they're back with the tutors but I'll scan them later.
Got new projects to work on now

Hunch: Thank you! the tutors liked them as well, thank god.

Sushy: haha most the figures Ive been drawing were done 30 or 60 seconds a pop as warm ups, I should do longer ones as well, but the quicker ones are much more fun for me
