Ah, Muro. I only tried it once and didn't like it that much. My Mac is short from collapsing when using it. It does work quite well with a tablet though.

Aha, my only other dealings with art programs lie with MSpaint.
OH! I found a mouse, it's making all this doodling much easier.

Wow, all done with a mouse? o_O Amazing.
That would never work for me because I'm using it with my right hand even though I'm left-handed.

I love your studies! Also the way you draw and shade your noses, good job!

Oh my, oh my! I feel popular today

I will stop with this muro spam soon enough, I promise. Now onto replies!

zeich Everything but the pictures with Aisling in were done with touchpad, actually. The mouse has made things so much easier! Aha

Oma: Hey, mate! Cheers for the kind words!

Eviloft: Aha, thank you! Studies are so fun. Sometimes when I'm doing things like arms I like to try and stick a body on them from imagination. Keeps me on my toes. But you didn't need to know that. I'm rambling again. ANyways, cheers!

Plissken: They trick you not! Been using that program on DA, the traditionalist is finally taking steps towards technology. Good for me, bad for everyone else as they suffer a tidal wave of crappy art. lol

    SELF CRIT MODE:
God damn you, do some studies already! Stop neglecting bodies too, and for the love of everything dear, please, please, please learn how to stick a head onto a neck.

Also; head planes. Learn them. Do it.
Some of the faces are baddly aligned too and I know that's certainly not a style choice. GET TO WORK, YEAHHHH!

HEY GUYS! LOOK AT AISLING'S FACE. PROPPER FULL ON DERPING.

A lot of improvement from last year. Keep it up.
I think as a suggestion you could focus a lot more on basic things such as perspectives, anatomy and shapes/straight lines, that sort of thing. Will help improve all areas of your work naturally I think.

er.. I was just popping by again, and I just realized that you pulled off 50 sb pages within a year. WTF! sick! impressive!
I love your experiments with colours and media. it might often look a bit flawed and unfinished, but there is a lot of experimentation and learning going on which is so visible- truly an inspiration, thank you
as a last note I'd like to say i completely dig your lips- sooo lively, soooo 3D!

more than your art I admire your bravery to tackle all those difficult tasks, with it you're halfway there. keep it up.

Good job on the head studies, I think you've got some good ones. For the more extreme angles you might need to spend some more time with some reference really looking at what's going on in terms of overlaps and such.
I think the way you did the bricks on your bridge illustration was quite nice!
For the digital pieces you've been doing I'd say watch the chroma(saturation) of your colour, at the moment they are pretty full on!
And as always keep at it

GUESS WHO'S CAMERA MOMENTARILY CAME BACK TO LIFE? YEAH. MINE.
But the bloody thing passed out again before I got everything in the big sketchbook which doesn't scan.

    Replies:
N1frit: Och, thank you for the kind words! I still have a long way to go but it's nice to hear my pencils aren't too bad I've never touched oils in my life but I'd like to some day.
Seungy: Thank you! And I was thinking I needed to dig into the basics, there's too much I mess up or haven't touched on which is affecting my work on a general level. Anyways, since your comment I've been reading that book on perspective on comics and making notes. As for anatomy, I don't have my books with me but I'll do my best to find good reffs where and when I can.
Uh. Atleast when my cousins aren't hovering about me. Doing studies near 7 year olds is nigh on impossible. xD
Shapes though, I've been avoiding that one. AVOIDING SO HARD. Your comment's been a good reminder for me to bully myself to do them.

Louis: Ughhghghgh but it did take me about 10 pages till I started doing studies. I really should be working harder. But still, thank you! I have so much to cover and I won't letthe odd disaster put me off. xD

Plissken: AND HERE IT IS! Well, most of it. ...Some of it. Uh.
Not too great or masterful I'm afraid.

Bruce: I was thinking the same thing. I lose it at a good lot of the angles, probably because I'm not paying enough attention to how things overlap, as you've said. I still find it pretty hard to figure how to keep features from buggering up. But hey, I'll get it eventually.
Ohhh, that's a common problem with my colour works. I'm thinking I stop avoiding colour theory and do some note taking/exersises.

Anyways, cheers everyone! This update's kind of all over the place in terms of quality. I don't get as much drawing done with cousins wrestling on my couch, they're great fun though and kids just so happen to be marvelous critics. xD

Targets: Anatomy. All of it. Uh. And colours.

Hu-ha, Cheers mate! Keep it up yourself ;P Reminds me I haven't seen an update from you in a way while.

ALSO got a small update; continued the princess sketch and had a go at giving myself critique. Still, whilst it's full of errors, I think I'm starting to show progress considering the fact my non-reff peices from early on here are shockingly bad. xD

Anyways; decided to do studies on my smaller sketchbooks whilst I'm still over so I can scan everything and not look like I'm a lazy bastard. Keep in mind though, my study time is limited by 7 year olds who will look at dismembered bodies(anatomy studies) and naked men with sheer terror in their little eyes.

HUGUGUGUGUGUH, I do not comment here enough.

I really dig your recent stuff, it's got some real flair. I especially like that sketch of Aisling flopped over Thain! Too cute.

The self-critique on the princess sketch is a good idea, I'll have to try that some time. You've caught everything I would have mentioned, so I suppose I'll just sign off here.

    Keep it upppp!

Small update, 'nother self crit. SLOWLY LEARNING TO NOTICE MY OWN ERRORS.
UH. I REALLY OUGHT TO LEARN HOW TO FIX THEM TOO WHILST I'M AT IT, BUT THAT'S FOR ANOTHER TIME.

Muramura:Hhhhhhuhhhh but I am! ;A; But thank you! Surely, if I start working harder maybe I'll earn the title of "not quite begginer's mad doodlings" xD

Clur: YOU DO, IT'S JUST THAT I SPAM SO OFTEN IT MAKES IT SEEM LESS FREQUENT.

That's something, really! Nice studies but second drawing is very good, comparing to few pages back it's huge difference. Keep drawing so much and in few months You'll be amazed! Good luck Naidy <3

I just turned my back only for a short and you came out
with a rapid burst of drawings. Leg and face studies improving,
and you did a step forward with that very first reffed face in #1510.
Your understanding of the eyes got to a next level actually.
Step by step and you are becoming better and better.
And if I summarize all the time I spent here, I think that you are definitely
one of the hardest workers that I met. Your frantic pace and constant
activity, just makes a very good example for us all. You are still so young,
and I can only imagine what will be in 5 years from now if you continue
drawing with this kind of a dedication. Ever evolving magnificent highly
payed mega artist you will become. And I will be proud if you will ever admit
    that you knew me once.
So, keep up with the studies, and never give up.

    Guys, guys, guys!
I got so many studies but I can't get to the scanner yet so all I got are two shitty paintings whilst I bide my time.

    Replies:
Hu-ha: ;A; thank you! Oh man, I know I can do better than this, it's just me needing to stop being so lazy and really dig my heels into my studying. I will keep it up though, most definitely!
Randomeister: Aha! I bet you do. xD But thanks mate! Was real fun to draw.
    Joe:Cheers! Will do!
Plissken: That has to be the nicest comment I've gotten. I'm not sure I'm a hard worker though, I look at the last posts and think how I could have done more, or put more time in, etc. I suppose I am getting there though. Bit by bit. And if that time ever happens, I'll be there telling everyone about your horrifically fascinating art. Keep up the good work yourself, mate. We're all on the same road of improvement.
Beth:Ey, mate!Thank you! It's just a matter of improving everything else now xD

Tell you what, drawing's so much easier with a mouse.

Edit: and here'r some more studies/doodles

Wasn't in the best of moods, having tooth ache and all that, so I tried to make the prospect of art studies sweeter by drawing male figures. DIDN'T REALLY WORK but I still got shit done.

Oh man, see the picture of Thain sleeping? Tried to be mature. Tried to sit there and draw EVERYTHING, but the prospect of trying to draw his dick was making me laugh too much so I left it as some sort of faint suggestion of one. xD

    Replies:
Beth: Yeah, my anatomy's really bawked up for the most part. I'm trying to rectify it with more full figure studies, hopefully it'll pay off. Otherwise I'm just going to look like a pervert. xD
Kendall: Oi, you! I see what you're doing, trying to clean up my horrid sketches. I have a right mind to edit a dick on her nose for having a stupid jaw.
Cloudcan:Och, thank you! And I was trying to figure it out myself. I was expecting to find he'd changed her eye direction to stare at the wrestling guys. Sorely dissapointed there was no prank. lol

Right guys, this is what I have so far. Expecting to finish the digital peice, keep in mind I'm doing this with a mouse, so faces won't be brilliant. xD

I love how this sketchbook demonstrates a visual chronolgical journey as your skills have improved vastly from the earlier concept art stuff. I am particularly fond of the traditional style more so than the digital oriented artwork. But you have managed to succeed in both areas. Keep up the good work as you can only go forward.

J-Ace:Cheers for the kind words, you're definitely right that my traditional is better. I'm only really dabbling with digital as I'm still new to it. It's fun though, who knows. I might get the hang of it some day.
