Sounds great Flo!! Can't wait ;P

I think you separate the features from the face too much.
The face is as much of three dimensional object as the features!
Don't blur out the skin and make everything else overly sharp.
Looking at the first few pages I can see a lot of progress
so keep up the good work!

Nice studies and sketches and some of them show that you have a great fantasy. Keep it on!
Hm, when I am looking at your portraits, especially at the potrait with the women, it seems that you use the soft brush a bit too much. The noses could be more defined. Maybe you could try to make a potrait just with a brush with hard edges. I guess it could be pretty interesting, because you can experiment in a new way. Well, I did it, when I abadoned the soft brush. I am just using it, when I am lazy.
What I like is the skin colour (or the different colours of skin) in your potraits. They look good, not fake, but more natural. It's also great to see, that you are working with perspective!
Egg0 Thank you, yes I did and will. Doing lots of lines, circles etc just when I'm watching a movie or sitting in school etc.
TFsean Thanks bud, I know but it was just a short amount of time spent to that study, it was more about one of my greatest weaknesses i guess: values. My values are horrible sometimes, pretty undefined edges.
Rebecka Thank you Becka! Here I go, don't have that much time this time since we have to make a 30 second 3d-animation film for which I need to do concepts etc, when everythings done I'll show it and the movie too, but first I need to learn all that stuff :-)
Xelar Thanks, I know about that problem of mine but the problem is, that I don't have a good way out of that. I'm trying to only paint with hard edges and when the values are alright, I automatically go there and make it blurry, that kinda sucks I'll fix that very soon, just give me some months and I'll be so much better than now!
Narrenzauber Dankeschön! Thank you very much! Same thing I told Xelar, I really don't know how to get rid of that in a good way... edges are horrible in my paintings and I freaking hate that but I will find a way out. Promised! I will try it like that... thanks anyway!
So guys I'm very busy because I'm working on a lot of projects for school recently and yeah... I will push myself to the limit since I live alone now and there's nobody distracting me from working all night long :>
your sb had me from the v for vendetta thumbnail great stuff
I'm an 18 year old noob i'd really appreciate anyone checking out my sketchbook! :
@Arti: Danke Melanie I have enough time to relax since I have my own flat in my new hometown here, so everything is alright, I have all the time of the world to relax. But not enough to paint, damn. Have to do a lot of stuff for the college and some stuff I work for atm. Thanks anyway!
@Likes2doodle: Thanks, glad you like it. I freaking love Anonymous for what they do. And that movie is one of the greatest I've seen for a long time.
Time for two very quick updates from my sketchbook.

Good studies you have here. And great amount too! Don't forget to do longer studies once in a while, it really helps!
Thanks continue, I'll be doing long studies as fast as possible, don't have much time right now the last few weeks but I hope it gets better pretty quick. Some more studies I did sitting in the train today and some on my desk, just a couple minutes spent drawing!
I know the hands are wrong in proportion, but hey - they are drawn pretty quick and I feel comfortable with it, because I now understand lots more about the structure of hands. Wait a few weeks, I'll be doing more hand studies etc and there will be pretty much better drawings in here!
Best regards and thanks to everybody for this awesome community,
Habs endlich geschafft hier mal reinzuschneien...
Ansonsten siehts gut aus!
Now I want to become a better artist. Started painting serious in may 2010.
hey dude perspective on
is way off, you tried to fit a 3 point perspective drawing into one point perspective thats why it all got twisted.
If you want to learn more about perspective check out this thread:
Keep it up
Thanks Danny for the tip. Did a lot more perspective studies yet, read much about it.
Here's a bunch of quick sketches and a portrait (1,5 hours i guess) to keep it going.
I don't have much time right now because I do lots of work for a concept for an animated movie we have to do at school. Storyboarding is something that's pretty cool but I'm looking for good recources how to storyboard etc in the next few days. Lots and lots of work in front of us...
