    The Scariest Images You Have

Does anyone have a stash of scary pictures?

Preferably images that are scary on an eerie or subtle level. Disgusting or disturbing images are not necessarily scary. No animated gifs, please! That's cheating.

(...I'm probably going to regret this. But my curiosity must be sated!)

    Edit: Oh hey, 100th post!

I'm not sure in what regard the OP meant, but I'll submit a photo I took myself.

I was exploring an old abandoned motel site. It was a property of small 1-2 person cabin style motel suites with a main building that was more like a house. The suites were made from concrete, so they are still standing, but all of the roofs are long gone. Despite that most of them still have remnants of the beds, curtains, toilets, chairs, some even still had TVs. The main house like building was caved in and there was a tool shed behind it. I walked into the tool shed and this was the first thing I saw

Big enough to be human, but I'm hoping it's from a deer. I've gathered that the neighbors might use this area for dressing their deer. But imagine my surprise walking into this not having that knowledge.

You can see the rest of the set here

I think this one is really scary. I haven't seen a painting with emotions as accurately and strongly portraid as here.

LORD M That is one of my favourite paintings. I wouldnt say it is scary, but it is quite morbid.

jcpahl Is that hanging guy a Joel peter Witkin?

I find these heads rather creepy...
For interesting locations I suggest looking at abandoned places, especially hospitals and asylums.Try this link http://www.opacity.us/locations/

This is probably the weirdest thing I've been sent. Did think of posting it in Cheer me Up thread, but didn't think it quite fitted.

Deleted it as it spoils the thread.

I didn't think it was possible to be called an artist when you have nothing to say. It's like being a writer who publishes individual words as books and expects to be praised for it.

Ok..( for the sake of my sanity) somebody please tell me the pics of the dead children posted above aren't real, that they were staged or something..

    BAM!!

    LOL! Thanx BlackSpot.

Funny how stuff once considered scary seem to age and lose it's flair. People actually had phobia's of showers after Jaws aired way back. I find that words of literature seem to carry better than visual imagery.

I mean describing it, who can remember that determination of the big shark, and the trance fixation on that jaws, as it wiggles it's way through just about anything towards inevitable fish food. Taaaa, dum,........ taaaaah, dum.....

Thread is called "SCARIEST IMAGES YOU HAVE".
That is an indication of the kind of images that may be within.

So far I think every pic in the thread delivers on that promise.

ungh... no gore! we already have a gore thread and that picture of the ass with the eyeball in it i think was a bit too racy for work. You guys better not have gotten me fired! (ok not really about the fired thing but this thread should at least have a NSFW warning on it and/or lose the gore IMO.

moar posts like jcpahl's plz. that post is epic.
