Assuming you run a version of Windows:

First of all make sure you have Java Runtime Environment installed (http://java.com/en/download/windows_manual.jsp)
Follow the instructions on that site to install the program, then continue below.

Click on the following link: https://sas.elluminate.com/mr.jnlp?suid=M.C50B29A52FB89E97042BAAB8C78BCE. On the site where you'll be taken a pop-up will appear, choose "Open" (if you are running Internet Explorer, the pop-up will be blocked and a yellow bar will appear at the top of the tab. In this case click on the yellow bar and choose Download File).
Your operating system might give you a warning, just click to continue/run the file. The program should start after that and the footage should start playing.

    Wow

That was a very intriguing lesson. For those who haven't checked out that demonstration of TAD, DO IT. Great stuff guys, If I wasn't taking summer courses already I'd jump right in! I'll have to save up for another time Thanks so much for the free lesson! Keep it up!

    I have a question.
So in order to view the lesson live when it transmits, you must have an account at VLP.
So isn't making an account cost you?
I mean it does say you will make a subscription.
To be able to see the the live lesson.

Hopefully it looks alright. I used Open Office to make it and sometimes when those are opened in Word they come out a little off.

    *UPDATE - It's been okayed.

All I did was copy out what was already there, but you're welcome.

I've posted the text and images on the Wiki now under "Useful Exercises" too so people can just view it there if they prefer that to the download.

    Vladimir,

Let me know if they were able to upload your entire transcription into captions/subtitles successfully as I've not heard from CA as of late. Unless, they ran into technical issues.

    Thanks,

    -A

An interesting first discussion. Lots of great information in the video. Jason mentioned though that it was the first in a monthly series. Does that mean there should be a new stream today? I would think in that case that there would already be a link up so I'm either blind or misunderstanding something. Any insight on when the next video will be available would be appreciated!

As I understand it, the subsequent classes are going to be available only to the students of the VLP and/ or TAD. So this was more of a free taste of what they're offering at those programs.

    Hi,

I am watching ... am excluded from chat.
I would be glad if you allow me to participate.

(Its hard to distinguish whether I am excluded from chat by software error, or by access denial)

    Thank you for sharing

I'm watching this on demand right now
And I'm wondering, is it possible to get closed captions for the audio? From this thread I get that there are captions for the free online lessons, but how do I make them appear in the "Elluminate Live" program?
Or were other presentations meant by this, or are there no captions for this (yet)?

Talwacht, if you're looking on it on-demand, it means you are looking at a recording of a lecture that happened a few months ago. All the chat is also saved from that event. That's why you can't participate in the chat, it's just a recording.

Where can we go to hear about upcoming classes?

And this is way awesome! I love how much you guys give back! Thanks so much!

“Almost everybody is an artist these days. Rock and roll singers are artists. So are movie directors, performance artists, make-up artists, tattoo artists, con artists, and rap artists…Madonna is an artist, because she explores her own sexuality. Snoop Doggy Dogg is an artist because he explores other people’s sexuality…Even consumers are artists when they express themselves in their selection of commodities. The only people left in America who seem not to be artists are illustrators.”

By saying "On Demand", do you mean I have to private message you in order to get ahold of the class? I am slightly confused.

    Thanks in advance
