The class was feakin' amazing...especially Brad's story about how he came to work in the industry and how he tackled the work he was given and the struggles he went through. It was nice to hear a story that I'm sure most of us can relate to.
I'm gonna go watch this class again as I need to take more notes.
Really great class, I loved all the discussion and it was nice to hear everyone's input on process, and especially critiques. It was also really helpful to hear all that advice about the line between student and professional. Thanks for putting this together, everyone. I'm really considering a VLP subscription after watching that.
It was amazing to sit in on thisl You cannot put a price on something like this. To be able to hear such well established illustrators discussing their trade in such an open manner was revolutionary for me. Thank you guys so much.
Ok a few things.
a. closed captioning for hard of hearing. This is something we are looking into to see what we can do. This is important to me as I have been trying my best to support our significant hard of hearing community here. There are a host of downloads that are being transcribed and translated into multiple languages by the caring volunteers here on CA. For the school classes we are going to have to get that solved and as soon as I have more information I will let you know. Right now I think we are going to need a volunteer to transcribe the vids and so we can provide a written transcript with the free classes like. Any volunteers are appreciated. This is important.
As time and budgets allow we will get this stuff transcribed and localized. It is a priority here that we serve all artists.
b. anyone having technical difficulties can email scooterATtheartdepartment.org and he can get you some answers.
c. THANK YOU for coming out. I hope to see you inside the www.visualliteracyprogram.com boards and working toward bettering your artwork and careers.

Thank you Jason and the rest of all those people that talked to us and helped us at Saturdays workshop!
If i can help i will gladly offer my help.
You need someone to transcribe the videos from the Saturdays workshop and other classes to typed text?
If so i volunteer to help i havent done this ever before but i will do my best!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhhhh!! NOOOOO! I missed it...what a great pity!....uff, Jason,do you think there will be another similar free event? Please tell me YES
Check it out on demand!
Well, I know that everyone else has been saying it but I feel obliged to humbly thank all the instructors and others involved in setting this thing up and I'm really looking forward to the up-coming sessions/ lectures in the coming months.
What I did wonder was whether it's necessary to install Elluminate each time or is it something I can permanently install on the computer and simply load each individual session as and when they are available?
vlad if you want to transcribe this, that would be awesome and I know there are a lot of people who would appreciate it. Just think of it like a movie script when you type it up. I will send you some downloads as a show of thanks. Please do. Thank you thank you!
I am happy that everyone is getting good stuff from this. We have such a great opportunity to share the content and educate. It is a joy to be learning and sharing with everyone.

Yes Jason i see what you do and other artist here by trying and helping each other and if i can help someone that is in need i will do it.Just tell me what you want to be transcribed and i will start on doing it.Its at least i can do for what i was given here.
Helping each other is important in our days.
Oh and when i finish it where do you want me to e-mail it?
Man, I can't believe I missed this! It wasn't even because I had a scheduling conflict or anything like that, I was just preoccupied with painting and didn't notice the time. I'm just getting done with the on demand, and it was amazing. One of the best classes so far for sure. And Marshall showed up! I'm going to be kicking myself all week...
Congratulations on a great class.
Want to see someone become a master? (My Sketchbook)
hehe yeah Craz you missed an amazing class.
but we all can watch on demand so its a saver, werent you amazed by how honest and humanly natural were all of the great people talking out there.
I can hardly see those kind of people nowdays.
At where i live its the opposite
Jason if you need a translation of the show to french I might give a hand
Might give me a break from the usual stuff
Dont worry Pilgrim1099 i have already transcribed the first 1 hour and 20 minutes of the class and i will finish it soon so you and the rest of the people that have hard hearing problems can enjoy the class
Awesome, Vlad! Thanks! Keep me posted on this.
Yeah mate no problem as soon as i have it done Jason will post it somewhere i guess or send it to you all people that need it
Can somebody help me to check it out on demand? i don't know how...what a shame XD
Finally watched it on demand, my first impression is a positive one, it's surely an interesting way to share info and teach, it's like a dvd tuto lesson plus some interaction.
Time will tell if it's like the real thing, better or worst, right now i can say it feels strange not to see who is talking, i hoped more for a videoconferencing type of thing, but i guess the lag issue could get worst in that case.

John English Demo Online!
John English Landscape Painting is now online, listed under Demos and John English.
John really gets into his thought process in this video. After you watch this vid a couple of times,
you will want to have it playing in the background as you work so you can just listen to the
words and ideas.
PODS for TAD are being populated.
As time goes forward, the TAD Kick Off is growing near. June 17th is the Studio Kick Off of the
first TAD semester. Students from all around the country will converge in Kansas City for a three
week studio session. After that, some people stay in KC, and others will continue to Austin or
Richmond to start living the studio experience in their respective PODs. Studying online in the
Elluminate Educational Environment as well as taking part in a POD studio is the "hybrid" art
education experience that John English and Jason Manley have envisioned.
Additional Models Being Processed for VLP Figure Drawing.
We are continually working in the background to photograph models for Figure Drawing. Keep

I wrote up the Steps for a Successful Finished Image doc from the images from the free workshop.
I did ask if it was okay to share it*, but haven't received a reply yet. Maybe got mark as spam or something. I'm sharing the link here and if I'm not supposed to the admins etc. can take it away.
Hopefully it looks alright. I used Open Office to make it and sometimes when those are opened in Word they come out a little off.
*UPDATE - It's been okayed.
