The cardboard helmet is done. It fits on my head.

I made three shots with my bike helmet. Look at the size difference.

I would master my Canon digital camera after few hundreds more shots. Taking a picture as the eyes see is my goal.

I bought three books from Amazon.com today. Hopefully it will get delivered by middle of January, 2013.

    Creative Illustration
    Andrew Loomis

Framed Ink: Drawing and Composition for Visual Storytellers
    Marcos Mateu-Mestre, Jeffrey Katzenberg

The Art of Animal Drawing: Construction, Action Analysis, Caricature (Dover Art Instruction)
    Ken Hultgren

I'm planning to draw one or two pages per day.

Creative Illustration by Andrew Loomis is truly a master piece for serious artist. Amazon.com sells it. When I got it, I couldn't believe it. How the company publishes the book such price. The book is big, contains hundreds drawings and illustrations with Loomis friendly explanations. Beautiful color paintings are added bonus.

I started reading Figure Drawing For All It's Worth by Andrew Loomis again to horn my skills.

It recommends Perspective Made Easy by Ernest R. Norling. Luckily I have it so I've been studying the book almost every day. I definitely recommend it for understanding perspective and basic shapes. End of each chapter has problems for the reader to apply the concepts or technique covered in the chapter. I try to finish the problems as much as I can. All imagination drawings are my answers to the problems.

Animal friends where I live: house dogs, street cats, seasonal birds, local birds.
I felt I had been corrupted by digital photography. Hmm. I'll upload my plain drawings next time.

Hi. Thanks for the sketchbook visit. Great to see you studying hard. You are definitely following the right path with the Loomis studies. You should use your photos as references for some studies too (I like the birds and cats btw). My suggestion would be to do more sketching from real life.

    2/2013 study

All perspective drawings that have straight lines and marks are replication of figures on Perspective Made Easy by Ernest R. Norling.
All 43 gestures are from imagination.
I would draw gestures using modified version of Loomis' skeleton. Pelvis part becomes a box, upper torso also is replaced as a bigger box.

    I'm back!!

All the 3D models are done by Blender 2.69 in Debian Wheezy.
They are exact copy of models on Blender 3D, Noob to Pro.

The following models are on Blender 3D Design Course, Neal Hirsig.
I definitely recommend Neal Hirsig's tutorials for Blender 2.6x users. The UI is almost identical to version 2.69.
