For those of you who have no hope...

...all things will work out, no matter how unlikely the situation is or bizarre you are.

I was married at 2:30 pm today exactly forty years ago, and both of us agree that those forty years have been the best five or six days of our lives. If I can do this in spite of who/what I am, you should be able to do just about any damn thing you wish for.

    Just go for it.

Wonderful news, but then I've seen that wicked glean in both your eyes and thought, 'this is a marriage made possible by identical humour'. Long may it continue - I've only got 19 years under my belt and still learning.

Showers you with rubies albeit the internet kind.

Hearty congrats! I will drink beer in your honor tonight! Not that I ever need a reason to drink beer, but....Hearty Congrats!

My bf and I will be celebrating 12-years this month, too. While we ain't all legal and shit (married), and no where near the length of you and your missus - we have been together longer than most marriages. That's a good thing, eh?

I find that when you drink beer together, you stay together.

    Congrats.

I need to check in with my judge friend. If she gets politically hosed out of her retirement, maybe she will like to move to Paraguay with me. It's nice to have someone else around, I guess. It's definitely cool to hear a success story now and again.

" best 5 to 6 days of our lives"

    Ilaekae, you crack me up!
    Congratulations to both of you!
I'm nearing 5 years of marriage and
I've gone past the "sometimes wanting to push her out the window" stage
to ' daily wanting to throw myself in front of a truck" stage. Lol!
    But seriously, Congratulations once again!

Well done and congratulations to you both, Kitty. It'll be 25 years this October for us, and no time off for good behaviour (but where's the fun in good behaviour, eh?)

Aw, congrats Ilaekae. It's nice to hear success stories every now and then
The part about being able to maintain a marriage "despite of what/who you are", has me a bit curious of what that might be though
