    Hey Dash,

    Pretty much everything I learned about composition was done intuitively, so I don't know if my suggestions are breaking any "rules" or anything, so take it with some salt

    Anyhow, it seems like the whole things is suffering from a "pattern" type of composition; where the elements are arranged to fill space evenly. this makes it very hard to create emphasis or interest,:

    If I were to redraw this, I'd do it like this;

    Grouping together elements and making them larger/smaller means that not only is there more emphasis, but it's easier to relate certain elements; the flying horses are now together so we can see them that way.

    Hope that helps

    Very helpful. I should have thought of that. I've jiggled it around taking account of this good advice... Any more comments welcome.

    Be careful of the center, it's a black hole, if you don't know what you are doing stay away from it. She's there and it stops the whole dynamics. Look into the Golden Means for composition, very helpful.

    Nice concept. The figures need more anatomy details - muscles shapes... The hero's arm covering the girls body seems me too short.

    What doesnt fit me in this - is the man's character outfit - The whole arrangement looks like the fairytale or fantasy story - so my opinion wuold be better some historical dress, longer hair, beard, sward...
