    the art of 100 rogues!

Hello everyone. I am proud to be among such serious and brilliant artists.

I am lead artist for an upcoming Dungeon Crawler for iphone (coming out any day now in the app store) and have come to share this 15 month labor of love.

I did almost all of the art and animation myself in a year's time, all the while going to school full time for music. This is the culmination of the work. You'll see a few snippets from the cutscenes and menus. These pieces are considered finished, but considering they were done by just me for no money, they are far from as flawless as i'd like them to be.

It's a stylized, cartoony style. The game has a sense of humor. I hope you all enjoy.

P.S. check the animation section for a post containing a lot of great in-game frame-by-frame pixel art!

My first stab at logo design:

very ambitious(for me) promotional "box art" (if there was a box for iphone games)

the two player characters on the select screen: The Human Crusader and Fairy Wizard!

an erroneous theocracy, listlessly charging you to "go kill satan"

the fairy wizard swearing to get the best of them and their judgmental ways.

    quabbus, the kindly merchant.

    Satan's in trouble now!

Though this is finished work, I'm open for any criticism you might have, however harsh or genteel. Thanks so much for looking and please, try the game out!

    Kickass work, Blake!

By the way, the game just got submitted to the App Store today, so if any of you have iTouches, iPhones, or iPads, and wanna see a ton of hand-done pixel art and animation Blake and I did for this game, check out 100 Rogues.

This art is such a fantastic mix of a strong style and whimsical character design... I love the faerie-wizard best, but the crusader is hilarious with his bucket-helmet. Altogether a really wonderful job; you have a lot of talent and some great ideas!

These have a very nice, animated, appealing style.

I also really like that logo for some reason.

Very enjoyable and well done work. And that logo is fantastic. Is the logo done in PS or is it vector based?

The logo is actually done with just a tablet on PS. I've never actually used vector...

I'm glad it "looks" vectory though I guess.

thank you all for your support! check out the fun, exciting world of 100 rogues in your app store!
