No "Zsketch" option in zbrush, whats up?

I am trying to follow the directions on a tutorial I purchased for zbrush 3 and they are showing how to use Zsketch.

There is no zsketch option or button anywhere in my application.

    What am I doing wrong?

Is there a plugin I need?

Please help, I need to focus on this for my classes and I am kinda stressing out

Thank you for your time. I appreciate the help.

Yea I am over there right now but, hard to navigate that site due to my unfamiliarity.

Usually I get better responses here.

Nah, paintstop is something different, zsketch was new in 3.5, jeris82 just has to upgrade from 3.1.
    zsketching rocks!

To start zsketching press shift+a, or go to Tool>ZSketch>EditSketch

There are some great tutorial videos on the pixologic website here:
    http://www.pixologic.com/zclassroom/homeroom/

Check out the "Sketching with zspheres basics" videos. Make sure you don't miss the little forward and backwards arrows in the lower left corner to scroll through all the videos.

Also, how do I increase the polygons or whatever, to get finer detail ? Geometry right now for me is grey'd out....??

I want a higher res image.

Dude, Zbrush Central or the manual.

Much as I loved Zbrush, it's interface was designed by space people .

If I had to guess I'd say you need a button marked "convert bizarro Zbrush stuff to geometry" before it will allow you to actually subdivide that geometry.

    * haven't used Zbrush for years, but that was the bizarro stuff you used to have to do..

One little addendum, if you've zsketched fine details like fingers then you might have to turn up the "Resolution" value under Unified Skin for those details to be captured.
Generally I keep the unified skin as low as possible. Once you're ready click "make unified skin", and switch to the resulting mesh, and sculpt away. I like using the Clay Tubes brush to block out the main forms.

If a subtool is in the wrong place when you append it then you can move it using Transpose (the move and rotate buttons at the top of the screen).

Basically with Polypaint. Switch to a white material, press "Colorize" under Polypaint, turn off "Zadd", and turn on "Rgb". To fill the whole mesh with a solid colour make a new texture with that colour, and press "polypaint from Texture" under the polypaint palette.
