    News news news, random news

Im just throwing this out there, having a thread of random news links. Find something cool and/or interesting or controversial, post it!

I'll kick this thing off. A man purposely vomited on a phillies fan and his daughter at a ballgame. The video in the link has the guy interviewed and everything leading up to it. It's pretty horrifying.

I know it isn't the worst thing ever to happen on earth, but really, there should be a special place for people like that. This makes me wish we had death penalty laws on stupidity. Vomiting on a guy and his kid on purpose, all over a sporting event is horrifying.

I think the cop had it coming, but not the little girl. You can't keep the profanity down at a phillies game, because it's always sunny in Philadelphia.

So in the name of posting stupid news articles, I just read on CNN.com a headline "Study says: Obese kids more vulnerable to bullying"

    1. Who funded this?
    2. It better not have been my tax dollars
    3. No shit CNN? really? did we really need a study to prove this? next thing i'll see is "Study says: Sky is in fact blue, and sugar is sweet".

The news is ridiculous...That is all.

well, I'm sure every American has heard of the Arizona immigration rule by now, so I don't need to offer a source, and I was indifferent to it at first, but since its a big argument. I'm all for it. It should be a federal law.

o and a Chinese Chef died because of a stupid prank. He passed out drunk and his friends thought it would be funny to shove a Eel fish up his ass... which ended up eating his bowels, killing him.

then again this is from the sun, so probably fake, but still interesting

Foxconn, (The company that manufactures Iphones, ipads, ipods, wii, xbox360s, and PS3s) Just had a worker die of exhaustion after working a 36 hour shift.

Im not sure if anyone else has been following the news on this company over on Kotaku or Gizmodo, but it's a pretty sad tale. I think they've had something like 13 suicides this year alone, with 10 of those being successful. This is just since january too which is the surprising thing. Also for all this hard work they do, working 36 hour shifts, they get paid 160$ monthly.

Anyway, here's the article about the recent exhaustion death. Definately a sad tale:

Things didn't go so well for the person suing though, from what i heard, the guy lost the case, had to pay the court bill, had to pay the medical bill, and lost his car obviously. Boy it must suck being that stupid. This story also exhibits a big fail on the part of natural selection.

I think it's actually a victory! The court had common sense.

Yea, i think people might just actually be that stupid. I'll never forget in one of my history classes back at art school, there was a fashion design student who said that she loved exploring all over the world and hoped to someday drive all the way to europe.
The teacher overheard and couldn't stop laughing, then tried with his best composure to explain to her that driving over the Atlantic ocean was not physically possible.
In her defense, she thought that "a bridge had been built by now or something."

Another article that makes me question it's credibility.

It's titled "Crash Data Suggest Driver Error in Toyota Accidents"
Its blaming the problem with toyota cars accelerating out of control on driver error, not on a car malfunction. The "data" that Toyota gathered they say suggests that drivers were accidentally mashing the gas pedal instead of the brakes which caused the unwanted accelerations that lead to the massive recalls.
So many questions are swirling around in my mind after reading this... but rather than rant about them, i figured i'd just post the article for interested people to chew on:
